I know a regearing job is not like changing a lightbulb. With all the help from you guys it is a possible task. While watching some videos and reading some how-to guides I came up with an other question: Sometimes the shims are between the carrier and the bearing, so you need some setup...

SvtLdr suggested Revolution Gear & Axle, but what about other manufacturers like Alloy USA, Yukon and Motive Gear. I fount an interresting Kit on Ebay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/273751914105?mkcid=1&mkrid=711-53200-19255-0&siteid=0&customid=link&campid=5337789113&toolid=20001&mkevt=1 Ebay takes...

Yes here are plenty of distributors for Jeep parts, but the range is not nearly as good like in the us. The prices are horrible too. They are two to four times higher. If I order the parts in the US, I will pay estimated 20% on taxes. The downside is, that I don´t have the legal warranity in...

I found the Rev-TJ-Dana 35-456 from Revolition Gear & Axle. These Parts shoult be suitable. Unfortunatley summitracing and Rockauto doesn´t have these Revolution Gear parts. Now I have to look for an other dealer, that ships to germany.

I know that a selectable locker is way better, but I´m afraid that the axleshaft will break. A benefit is, that I don´t have to think about when to use the locker. Bigger tyres and rock crawling are not considered. Mostly I drive over a muddy field to load a hog or a deer in the trunk. For this...

Thank you very much for this Link! A good friend of me, who works in an agricultural machinery shop, will help me out. I´m a mechanical engineer and worked on some other cars, but the "Jeep expierience" is new to me. After the Informations from the Link, I think the 4.56 ratio will be better...

Hello fellow Jeepers, a few month ago I fulfilled my dream and bought a Wrangler TJ. It is a TJ Sahara 4.0 from 1998. I use this car mostly for hunting. In our rainy and snowy area, I am often conquered with very muddy terrain. At the moment my loved TJ has 285/65R17 tyres, which translates...
