So, just sayin.. You might want to say something between you first post and this one especially when it's directed at a new TJ owner. A statement like "When you lift it, repairs increase astronomically. And you risk totalling it too" on its own, is misleading and generally incorrect.

^^^ This. I had an intermittent variable voltage. Turned out to be the ground from the block to firewall. Tightened it and problem solved. I used the full Design Engineering kit and resolved the intermittent heat soak issue.

I haven't. I use the Suunto & Garmin's primarily for back country navigation when backpacking. Haven't tried any of the Polar watches.

The guy that did mine tucked the leather up under the trim pieces and glued it all in place. I never would have been able to get it as nice as he did

That sucks. I threw a great pair of hiking boots in the trash because they were infested. Walked through a nest of ticks or something. I tried everything.. bleach, Permethrin, soaked under water for a few days. Nothing worked.
