#2 vote for sideways in a pickup truck. That's what I did also. Funny thing, it was a Dodge truck as well. :)

    Headlight Trouble (Electrical Question)

I have a 98 but same setup. The only time I had an issue with the lights not working was before the Toyota lights install but, it was the pull out stalk that was the issue. I went with the Duralast at AutoZone Dorman - OE Solutions Headlight Switch 901-264

I Have a 98 and have the same pull switch and it was slightly melted when i did the road side replacement in an AutoZone parking lot. I also did the Toyota headlights and wiring harness afterwards. but, the ones i linked above will work for them.

    Headlight pull switch

When mine went out on a drive home, I just stopped by a local Autozone and got the Duralast model they had in stock. I have had it for 8 years now with no issues. Duralast Headlight Switch SW1488 Crown makes one also if you prefer that. https://www.quadratec.com/products/55211_0005.htm

Would you add sound deadening to an Armorlite installation?

Considering body temp is around 98.6 it sounds like it should be sufficient to keep it from burning my wife's Leg in the summer on that tunnel. Thanks for the information. I got my Armorlite kit delivered a few days ago, just waiting for some warmer weather to install it. Looks to be in the...

Would you add sound deadening to an Armorlite installation?

it is high but, quality looks really good. All the people on the JT site are raving about it. I did use the Jeep Gladiator 10% discount code. It took off 112$ One of the reasons I went ahead and hit the purchase button this evening.

Would you add sound deadening to an Armorlite installation?

Yep, same here. My carpet is original from 98 and it's trashed.

OK, thanks for the follow up. You all have convinced me, No Sound deadening will be used in my Jeep either.

Would you add sound deadening to an Armorlite installation?

I am purchasing the whole Kit. The front's appear to have backing but the Tub area doesn't look like it has any backing on it. @joneill Does the armorlite by itself stop heat getting through the center/tunnel area? My Wife complains about the current carpet on the passenger side being...

Would you add sound deadening to an Armorlite installation?

For those that have added Armorlite flooring to their Jeeps. Did you add any sound deadening and would you recommend it? I've seen a few Youtube videos showing it installed at the same time but, is it really needed. If you wanted to change anything wouldn't it be a sticky mess to try and remove?

Is this guy asking too much for this TJ?

Yes, the ford 8.8 at 67000 is odd. but, overall it looks like it's worth if from my chair here in Cincy! lol You won't know until you go check it out. I'd keep the hard top also. I use a hard top in the winter and switch over to a soft top in the spring. Mostly garaged if there's any...

    Heater control swaps?

I have a 98 with the older style Heater slide controls and I was able to add a double din radio with no issues? I used the kit from Crutchfield with the new Dbl din opening. https://www.crutchfield.com/p_120956549/Metra-95-6549-Dash-Kit-Black.html?tp=3121
