Drove to pickup my cat from the vet, then went back to working on my third brake light/ license plate project made from a roof rack shipping end cap, molex power connector for a quick disconnect. I'm far from done, just thought I'd share what I've been up to. Haven't posted in a while now. Still...
I was wondering if anyone could show me what the factory original steering stabiliser looks like. The one on my Jeep seems quite thin and no markings that I could see. If the shocks that came on my Jeep are any indication, then this may be the original one installed at the factory.
My Jeep gets...
Yeah, didn't sound like they were being helpful, just being a jerk. It's your car and your call how to handle a situation, if you feel it's too risky to push through and need to winch, you 100% should do what you feel is best. Winches are there for a purpose and it looks like you made the right...
At work I saw a JK tailgate where someone put a Smittybuilt Molle mat across it, non velcro at all. Would need to get some type of straps to put over the Roadside kit to hold it to the Molle, but yeah, putting the FAK beneath my driver's side door is a good place. I like having things secured as...
I have a First Aid Kit and a Roadside kit I'm planning to mount on the tailgate, been thinking of something to put on the inside of the tailgate for them, just not sure what yet. FAK and Roadside Kit are originally from a VW.
Yesterday at work since we literally had no cars to work on but were required to be there still, I rolled my Jeep in and finally replaced my leaky valve cover gasket that I had sitting in my rear seat for a month. The old gasket was leaking out the back at cylinder 6 and I got tired of the...
I hit the jackpot at work. I went digging through our mountain of floor mats and found a full TJ set, fairly used, but free! Also added another grab bar thing for the driver's side.
How can I find my Jeep's date of manufacture if my Jeep came with no sticker in the door? Just curious is all, as I want to know everything I can about my TJ even the most useless little things like this.
Replaced the old OEM front shocks today, front ones had a little life left but the rear ones were totally shot. Rancho RS5000X I also highly recommend, the ride quality is just better than I imagine it was when new using OEM shocks. Fixed my tailgate not closing correctly, replaced a dead bulb...
Yeah, what slowed me down on Saturday aside from cars that weren't mine I had to get out of the shop was the top rear bolts evan after having soaked in PB blaster for 24 hours were a pain to get out. Was using an impact but the awkward location, lack of good lighting and rusty bolt made it very...
Interesting idea for the rear seats, I'd love to do something similar with mine as I sometimes transport more than 1 passenger but most of the time could use more space in the back for groceries of other large items.
I'd buy an LJ Rubicon if money was no object but I drive a lot of Jeeps at work daily, so I'd take a TJ over them, but we should be getting the new 2 door JL wranglers soon, so IDK. But We get plenty of JKs that come through with lots of problems.
