How many light bars or pods do you have on your Jeep?

That should help improve gas mileage too! 😆

    How illegal is your Jeep?

Same here in Idaho! If I lived in Washington, I'd probably be at 4 or 5, but I don't think I'm violating any in Idaho.

Why are most Jeep dealerships living in the past for parts selling?

Our local dealership offers our club price discounts, but I buy most of my parts through the local custom shop. I like to support local business also and they always do their best to match or beat internet prices for club members if they can. It if is a close call, I always buy local.

    42RLE shudder (torque converter?)

That's why we moved to North Idaho from CA 16 years ago. Just couldn't take it any more.

Rattle noise when hitting bumps in the road

Loose steering components/track bar, ball joints, tie rod ends etc. can seem like you feel them in different places and would rattle/shift when going over bumps. To check, put your frame on jack stands, let the front suspension hang loose with no weight or tension on it and you will be able to...

Which locker and gears? The great locker debate continues

I looked into e-lockers but decided based on endless discussions and opinions to go with the air locker. Since you have onboard air already, this would be easy. ARB is good, but at the recommendation of my local shop I went with the Yukon Zip air locker and I'm very happy with it so far.

    A virgin no longer

Did the same thing myself yesterday, I have a new locker in the rear and had to go test it so I went by myself. trying to find challenging spots to test the new locker, I got high centered and had to winch out. Got home in one piece though!

Will a car wash give me issues with a roof rack?

I have the Garvin roof rack and while I don't share others aversion to a clean Jeep, I both hand wash it in the yard with a hose when the top is off for the summer and I drive through a local automatic touchless car wash when the hard top is on. I think any car wash using brushes is a bad idea...

In need of some storage and setup suggestions from members that camp and overland

I'm planning to build something like that also, not quite sure of details yet. If you make one, please take photos and post them!

In need of some storage and setup suggestions from members that camp and overland

I have the Garvin rack also, and it is very useful. I have to tip it when I take my hard top off and on, but hard top stays off most of the summer. I like the Garvin because it has the full 6'x4.5' basket. I made a couple slotted 2x4s that drop onto the rim of he basket to make easy on/off...

    Reedfe's 2002 Sahara

you are correct that the understeer is more pronounced in 4H on the road driving in snow. It is still totally manageable, but I would not let someone who was not experienced with it borrow my TJ in snow deep enough to need 4H on the road since the steering reacts differently than they would...

    Reedfe's 2002 Sahara

Nice looking TJ! I also have 31" KO2s and about 2" of lift. Not planning to go any higher. I have the Garvin Expedition rack and love it. not only handy on the trail sometimes, but I can carry an amazing amount of things on it as a daily driver because it is 6' long and the basket is flat around...
