Success... but more like dumb luck than brains. OBD scanner didn't show anything that important (high voltage to fuel gauge) that would keep the engine from starting. Checked fuses, relays & grounds. OK. Switched PCM with the one from 1997. No difference except no high voltage to fuel gauge...

I agree. Just want to know if the swap will start the Jeep or at least give some codes.

Bought a Launch C reader Professional 123Xl V2.0 . Will see if this helps me out but since the Jeep is not throwing any codes, with my luck, I doubt it.

Installed Dirtworks rear bumper. Kind of wondering if the red "D" rings are are a bit much and maybe chrome or stainless would look better to match tail lights.

Working on my sons 1999, manual trans 4.0 L, TJ that won't stay running & battery not keeping full charge. My son has replaced many parts already... new fuel pump, crank sensor, new battery, alternator & starter, ignition switch etc. I'm thinking PCM. I've replaced the PCM on my 2006 TJ 4.0L...

MountaineerTom... I've recently acquired a set of Rubicon rocker guards which are now freshly painted.... Rust-oleum Satin Black. Waiting on ordered stuff to mount. Don't really want to use double stick tape in case I'd ever want to remove them at some time. Question I have is what "3M tape"...
