Hey Tjbro, keen to find out how you’ve gotten on. I put the same Penrite ATF FS in my Jeep, and about 100km later it started going into limp mode. I never considered it might be the fluid, just read that it was “compatible with ATF+4”, but I didn’t pick up on the fact that it isn’t true ATF+4. 🙄

It was running and shifting great, then out of nowhere it felt like it downshifted and went into limp mode. When I cleaned the ecu connectors it drove and shifted great, right up until it went into limp again.

I’m in the process of getting a gauge. I changed the pan and filter a few weeks back, fluid was old. This Jeep has hardly been wheeled, I bought it because it is an auto, I’m going to swap my axles and suspension into it from my 05 manual. Is easier than doing a transmission swap.

I’ve heard good things about the Kenda KR601’s, I haven’t used them myself though. Pretty sure they make the size you are after.

Definitely going to cable shift. I wasn’t able to get the Novak or savvy shifter cable, but managed to get a B&M shift cable kit. Hopefully it is just as good.

Good to hear some real world usage. Did it always shift ok, that’s my biggest concern. If I fit it and it rarely gets used it isn’t a big deal, just don’t want something that makes the t-case a pita to shift.

Thanks for your perspective. I don’t see when you would use any 2wd in a situation that would put that much stress on just the rear. The only time I’ve really used it (2 low) on other vehicles is when reversing trailers up hill on pavement, but can see a use for it in slow tight bush off road...

Thanks and yes, 2wd low would hardly be used, but when you do need it it is very handy. I had selectable front hubs on an older pick up, so 2wd low range was useable and handy. The TJ and the pick up served very different applications though, so I don’t know how often I’d use it. Was thinking of...

Has anyone had a Teraflex 2low for an extended period and have some feedback, good or bad? About to do a 231 JB conversions SYE and freshen up, I don’t think I’d use 2low a lot, but can see it being handy on occasion.

Wasn’t me. I did wonder if he would be interested in selling that ARB front bar, but then I saw him stick it in some cops grille, it is probably bent now 🤷‍♂️

Any fresh feedback on your T case. I was looking at doing the same SYE kit from JB conversions, and was also considering the Terra low kit. Anything you’d do differently?
