Anyone using a Yakima SpareRide v2?

FWIW, here's my setup. Forgive, it's been mounted for a few years — if memory serves (dangerous!) I'm thinking I used the long tongue. (see the graphic) My spare's the same size: 15x8.5 wheel with a 33x12.5 tire. As yes, it sits snug against the tire. Easily and without doubt, the best bike...

Are Ron Davis Racing Radiators worth the money?

OK, think about this: Chrysler began developing the redesigned 1-row aluminum core radiator for the TJ in 1998. 28 year old technology designed for a world — and temperatures — we no longer live in. I did some digging: 1998: the average annual temperature for the contiguous United States was...

Cooling fan upgrade comparison: Explorer 11-blade fan and HD clutch versus SPAL 19" 850-watt electric brushless fan

cOMPREHENSICE WIRTE-U Comprehensive write-up, Dude. Well done. FWIW: A few years ago my OEM radiator finally died after 18+ years in the surface-of-the-sun heat of South Florida. Surprised it lasted that long — regular flushings and TLC always helps extend the life. I popped in a Champion...

    Anyone Running 33" Pizza Cutters?

M/T Baja ATZ's - 33x12.5 R15 - 3.75 " backspace, 19mm offset. The tread wear is exceptional. Love the aggressive look, smooth and manageable on the highway. Sadly, M/T doesn't make these anymore — my next tires will likely be M/T Baja Boss, maybe the Baja Legend.

    01 TJ radiator recommendations

(2006 2.4L) Two years ago, the OEM radiator finally died after 18+ years in the surface-of-the-sun heat of South Florida. Surprised it lasted that long — regular flushings and TLC always helps extend the life. Install was a piece of cake — flawless from beginning to end — guaranteed my first...

    4 banger/auto: should I?

FWIW: I've driven a 2.4L (manual) for 19 years. In a headwind?... uphill?... not fun. 4 years ago, the fun returned... or began?: I upgraded from 3.73 to 4.56*. Boom — a noticeable performance boost for the dinky 2.4L. Essentially, I'm one gear higher throughout the range — highway: used to...

    Bike rack options?

(Apologies in advance) FWIW, Woodrow... and at the risk of throwing a downer here — that's a fear you might want to hold on to: I was hit by a car in 2019 — TBI (with a helmet) + spinal fusion surgery. Years of neuro issues, pain and recovery. I still ride... offroad-only. No more metro streets...

Nothing redneck about it, man. Did the same thing. Quality rubber mat from Home Depot. Cut it to fit over the carpet. Boom. Clean and durable surface.

    Tire valve replacement

1918. M/T. All 4 tires are in great shape — treads, sidewalls... zero degradation — which is the reason I didn't catch the valves. To look at the old valves, there was no indication — it's only when you bend them do you see the cracks.

    Tire valve replacement

Morning all. I pride myself on preventative maintenance — understatement: anyone that owns a TJ is or should be a master at it. That said, ashamed to say, I missed this one — caught it in time: randomly discovered that all 4 tire valve stems had serious deterioration — cracked and brittle...
