Is my TJ a Sport or Sahara?

Eugene the Jeep. You can get decals of Eugene in many sizes for your Jeep on the internet. I think I put him on every Jeep I've owned for the last 10-15 years. He will give your Jeep some class.

Where do you keep your pistol?

I use a combination pistol lock box which is large enough for me to fit my Sig Sauer P228 or 229 9mm. The lock box is attached to a steel cable which I wrap around the passenger seat base. When I go into a store or any other place I have enough room to put the lock into the center console. I...

New Jeep owner looking for advice

I was born on Guam, my farther was in the Navy and stationed there. Frankly I wish I was there instead of New Mexico. TJ frames rust from the inside out. I would check that. Ask on this forum and you will get some good rust prevention ideas. Enjoy your Jeep.

    2005 TJ OPDA Question

It's not a time consuming job as long as you do it right. Put engine at top dead center. The Crown replacement comes with a plastic pin that goes through the OPDA to keep it in position. Make a mark on the engine block and the old OPDA so you put the new one in at the right place. Put the...

    2005 TJ OPDA Question

I have an 06. I replaced the OPDA with the Crown one. I still have the original as it had no issues, I just changed it as a precaution at 130,000 miles. If you put in the Crown OPDA, keep your original sensor to re-use.

    WranglerFix Review

I put the wrangler fix in more than a year ago and have had no issues at all with my 2006 TJ. I had the hard auto transmission shift problem. Mark sent me my new unit quickly, all I had to do was give him my Vin number. Wrangler Fix is an outstanding product and value.

Does anyone recognize this steering wheel on a TJ?

Sorry, I was looking at the picture from LJ Greg.

Does anyone recognize this steering wheel on a TJ?

I have a 2006 TJ with 4.0 engine and Auto Trans. This looks just like my steering wheel does. Mine is stock, never been changed.

Rust is worse than I thought. Is wool wax an option?

Someone tell me if I'm correct, I understood that the YJ and TJ Jeeps had galvanized body panels. Is that not true. The body in this post looks really bad. I know the frames rust but I thought the bodies held up better.

Why is my soft top like this? (05 LJR)

It looks like the bow that attaches to the windshield is too high. it should be at or below the top of your doors. Is there something other than stock at the top of your windshield. See the picture Mountaineer Tom sent from the side and you can see what I mean.

    Long-term TJ owner insights

I have had my 2006 TJ for about 8 years. I had two other TJs before that. The one I have now has 4.0 engine and Auto trans. The only upgrades I did were to use the 16" rubicon wheels and 31" tires. I did a minor pucky lift for clearance. Repairs so far included wrangler fix pcm, replacing...

Anybody else feel like these TJs cost way more than they're worth?

No. I have a 2006 TJ and have spent very little to maintain it, don't do lots of mods to my Jeeps, Some will spend way more, but Jeeps become a passion. Over the years I've had quit a few Jeeps, but every one was worth every penny.

    Thinking of selling

I've had more than a few Jeeps that I sold and regret it still. All were good Jeeps, M38a1 with gun mount and semi auto M1919-a4, CJ3B, CJ2a, two M-151A1s (yes I know they are not really Jeeps) and two other TJs, one a 2006 Rubicon LJ and a 2001 2.5 TJ. Wish I had them all back. I now have a...

What is this thing on the side of my Jeep?

Most often called Body Armor. For a Rubicon I think it's factory.

Please help spot any problems on 2005 Jeep TJ (college students first car)

It looks like one of the front suspension arm brackets is cut. Could be the picture but it sure looks cut to me. You do need to look inside the frame for rust. If this is your first car and for a road trip I'd rethink your choice.
