    Is this a Jeep part?

My buddy wasn’t sure if this fell off his 98 or if it is something he ran over. Haha

Disappointed in ride quality after lift

I agree with the rc shocks as an issue. Literally everyone says they are stiff. Regarding the bump steer feel-perhaps the lift has brought to light some issues that need attention. A dry steering check for worn suspension components could help identify. Checking torque on recently installed...

Pep talk for our non-mechanically inclined forum members

Great post @Gunnersmate . Sometimes all the people need is a good peptalk… I was pumped the other day about how smooth my install was going on the SwayLoc until I went to position the arms & realized my arms were below the drag link. 😂 Doh! Decided to pop out the tie rod & damaged the treads...

Advice on how much I should sell my TJ for

A clean, low miles(relatively),one-owner Rubicon. Very nice. Practically a unicorn. The used car market is nuts right now. I’d put it on Facebook marketplace for 20k OBO. Don’t ever sell that thing though .Sorry, but I guarantee that you will regret it...seen it so many times. 20 years from now...

    Valve Cover Bolts

Looks like you’ve got a slight VCG leak. i had one like that starting at the back. Had it for a couple years before I got around to it. The advice that Andy gave about the quarter inch driver is solid. Definitely don’t wanna go breaking those things. if you go to changing it, be...

M.O.R.E. steering shaft bracket too tall

Yeah the bracket is an odd angle to capture. it is from a 4.0. Here’s another pic. The 5 inch mark seems to hit around the center of that upper circle.

Why do you drive a TJ?

They’re unique yet general purpose. Ride rough & leak but god I love the feeling. Wether parallel parking downtown or cruising the river. Nothing like a TJ with the right balance of infatuation ,frustration ,& obsession. Like being in love with the same person for 30 years. Haha

M.O.R.E. steering shaft bracket too tall

i’ve been eyeing this modification for about a year and finally got around to trying it out yesterday. No welding. Remove pinch bolt (13mm)& two 15mm bolts on the old bracket to the frame. Slide upper shaft towards firewall. Slide off old bracket from lower shaft towards firewall. Two 10mm bolts...

Clutch mount rattle with lateral play

Hi all. Getting an annoying rattle on rough roads where the clutch mounts. It’s lateral play. Is there a recommended approach here? is that white ring a bushing? Perhaps a loose bolt I should address? I’m playing Twister over here. :ROFLMAO: 2001 Sport Thanks.

    33x10.50 to 33x12.50

+1 on the Black Magic Brakes. Their stock style pads made a tremendous difference in stopping power on my 33’s. No more close calls since. Could not recommend them more.

    33x10.50 to 33x12.50

Hi I just went from 33-12.50 to 10.50. Never looking back. 12.50 grab every rut in the road. Steering is lighter On 10.50. Braking is a bit better. It’s night & day. I’d stay With 10.50 unless it’s a mud toy. I know 12.50 look cooler (subjective) , but not by much & the downsides I mentioned far...

Tipping on to-go orders: What's the consensus?

I tip $5 on to go pre-COVID & $10 since. Usually the waitstaff or bartenders making sub minimum wage are packing the food. I don’t use delivery apps at all. They charge 30% to the restaurant which is a low profit margin business to begin with. I tend to frequent the same 10 local restaurants...

Bestop significantly raised the price of the Supertop NX

Sorry guys. I’m such a noob I don’t know how to “like“ other’s comments or I’d have done so. 😬

Bestop significantly raised the price of the Supertop NX

Lol... I wondered the same thing seeing as how I assembled it in my driveway. :ROFLMAO: My only guess is the pieces are cut/measured here & stitched in Mexico. 🤷‍♂️
