There is a well known PCM issue that causes shifting oddities with the 05/06 42rle transmissions. No fix from Jeep, but @Wranglerfix has solved it with their PCMs. It’d be worth a conversation with them to see if your problem is something they can fix.

I agree the BedRug material seems slicker than factory carpet. The spikes on these Huskys are pretty aggressive. Currently no movement at all with driver or passenger side. No retention clip on either.
