Wanted to warn members about Morris 4x4

Yup. That's what I'll be doing in the future. Ordered my tailgate bar two (2) months ago - May 18th. Still haven't received it. Despite numerous emails and PMs here with the Morris rep promising to get it figured out asap, I still don't have a tailgate bar for my new soft top. Covid, OMIX...

Do we have a rep for Morris 4x4 on the forum?

Ordered my tailgate bar from Morris 4x4 on May 18th. Two months later and still not received. Lots of meaningless emails and PMs from Morris about Covid shipping issues, OMIX changed their system, blah, blah, blah. I've ordered literally thousands of dollars worth of goods from vendors all over...

Does Quadratec always sell stuff they don't have in stock?

I ordered a cheap accessory from them, then immediately cancelled the order within 5 minutes. They auto-replied with a bogus email that "Bob was running out to the truck to try and stop the shipment!" Then I got an email the next day saying they weren't able to stop the truck . . . and the thing...

    Bosch 67655 fuel pump

My Delphi has been in for over a year now and it's been flawless. Great. Fires right up every time. Easily my favorite fix to the TJ.

Why isn't Teraflex as big in the TJ community?

Given that Tom Woods is the standard bearer of the post-lift SYE install aftermarket driveshaft, and also well known for their good service, I would think that speaks very highly of his confidence in TF SYE products that he sells them in combo with his driveshafts. Also, I didn't intend to...

Do we have a rep for Morris 4x4 on the forum?

Morris 4x4 just pushed out the shipping date on my tailgate bar another 8 days. Still leaning hard on Covid. Oddly, everything else I've ordered over the last two+ months, from groceries to hand sanitizer from the little whiskey distillery in Kentucky, has been processed, shipped and delivered...

Why isn't Teraflex as big in the TJ community?

I think this is an interesting/valid observation. When I first bought my TJ three years ago, knowing nothing about any of this stuff, I took it straight to the top 4x4 shop in town. Their proposal included the Teraflex 3" TJ lift for $2,473, plus all the other usual stuff - Yukon regear, Detroit...

Do we have a rep for Morris 4x4 on the forum?

Sounds familiar . . . I did just go back through my emails and they did send me a $25 gift card. I saw your feedback online and wanted to reach out directly to apologize for the service you experienced. We know that it doesn't come close to meeting the standards we have for ourselves. I...

Do we have a rep for Morris 4x4 on the forum?

I've a pending Morris 4x4 issue. Ordered fender flares and the tailgate bar for the soft top window and the tailgate. Had ordered my soft top from them a week or so earlier and all was well on that shipment. All orders were based solely on price. I get the shipping notifications on the fender...

What did you do to your TJ today?

Well that was the most not fun super-pita project of my Jeep career. So many tiny bolts. As you can see, the old ones were trash, painted over poorly, chipping and faded underneath. Still not sure there was enough bang for the pain and suffering with the fresh ones. It's done though.

    Best paint for fender flares?

I've had my TJ for three years now and have appreciated the cosmetic "patina" of my original flares and the rig in general while I focused on mechanical soundness. But I just put a crisp new black fastback-style soft top on it and it looks sharp. The PO already did a really half-assed job...

    Best paint for fender flares?

I was going to ask this question recently, but then I just ordered a new set of flares for $118. Figured that was a fair trade for my time on proper prep and gathering materials, etc.

High travel, high clearance & high octane, a streetable adventure LJ story

Finished! What a great build thread. I started lockdown with the intent of re-reading Larry McMurtry's Lonesome Dove quadrilogy (in chronological not publication order). I made it through Deadman's Walk and Comanche Moon. I picked up Lonesome Dove for the first time in 30-odd years, but didn't...

What did you do to your TJ today?

Changed out the redneck ratchet straps for some proper Jerry can carriers and a new cargo rack over the spare. As always, it was not without pain and colorful language. The previous set up were cheap Smittybilt gas can holders. The new ones and the cargo rack are from Tuffstuff Overland...

What brand of fuel pump should I use?

So far so good. It's only been a few months, but it fires right up. First time, every time. Probably my favorite fix to the Jeep thus far. Noticed above that another poster is going on four years without any issues.
