SOLD 2000 Jeep Wrangler TJ set up as RV dignhy/toad 91800 miles solid

After much consideration, I must sell my TJ that I painstakingly set up for RV towing behind our Class C motorhome. Full Craigslist ad link below with more pics. The basics: 91,800 miles. I"m 2nd owner (orig owner bought new in FL, moved to Delaware, then back to FL). Carfax. Factory...

    Winter storage for 97 TJ

If you can, your best bet is a full tank of non-ethanol gas. Ethonal absorbes water, but on normal use (driving) it's fine. For longer storage, non-ethanol and the Fuel Stable (along with the battery tender as suggested) is ideal. Note: not all high-octane fuel is non-ethanol. Best bet is...

2000 TJ Turn Signal / Hazard Lights issue

Since I bought this 2000 TJ in early '19, it has had a strange issue. When i use the turn signal to change lanes (momentary use — not just flipping them on), then let go of the lever, you can still hear it "clicking" like they are on, yet no indicator on the dash (indicator works when changing...

All this just to go kayaking

Hey gang, it's been a looooong time since I've posted....lot of stuff going on since late '19. Anywho, thought I'd share some updates/additions to my 00. Since I'm keeping with a soft top only at this time, I added a cheapo roof rack — exoskeleton style — to haul some kayaks when we go...

SOLD TJ Hardtop for sale (97-02)

This is a factory original TJ hardtop for a 2000 model. Color is Khaki. All glass is perfect, and it includes the rear wiper section, wiring harness. Factory defrost. This top came with my 2000 Jeep which was a factory dual top Wrangler. The inside (white) part of the top is in great shape...

    Never use high mileage oil?

High mileage oil has higher concentrations of zinc and phosphorous. Basically, like the oil we used to buy 25 years ago or more. Basic purpose is to ensure the oil has more lube capability with those added minerals and seal swelling. Bottom line for me is what has already been said: as...

    "Pacing myself" build

Hey bobtheTJ, wondering if you are using an auxiliary brake in your Jeep when you tow behind the motorhome? I'm going thru the process now hooking up our TJ to a Ford V10 chassis motorhome kinda like yours. I bought an invisibrake system ($$$ yikes) but wondered if you used anything.

    A True Off-Road Jeep

It's a Jeep in looks but a boat at heart. Looks like fun. Wacky, but fun. Pricing starts at $139,000. I like the Fire & Rescue aspect — via their website. Some links on their web go nowhere. company web: https://www.watercar.com/ youtube vid:

Engine broken: What should I do?

I agree — buy it. If nothing else, you can use the block and internals....and swap your head / accessories / brackets / etc. over if necessary. I also vote for new pistons / rings / cam / internals in the replacement block

Turn signal sound remains on after turn

Hopefully I can explain this: After changing lanes and using the turn signal (not full click, but holding in place for 2 or 3 flashes), the light goes off but the sound remains. Explained another way: the turn signal is visually off outside and inside (indicator on dash is off), but I...

They really dropped the ball on Game of Thrones season 8

Agreed. Especially when each episode of S8 is like 1.5 hours long....give or take. Was a bit anti-climatic that S8E3 battle ended with the knife to the gut. I also felt that more "main" characters should have been offed in the battle...several were implied that they would die....like Jamie...

Blame me for not having a more snappy title. It's all I could think of........

    Tracking your Jeep

Ok, last strange Jeep stuff for today. You can install tracks on your Jeep (yes, this is a Cherokee) for snow and what not. Interesting. I guess a few companies making them?

    Dr. Pepper CJ Jeep

After posting the 1973 CJ "funky 70's" Jeep thread....it brought me back to when I was like 9 or 10 (meaning: the year 1980 to 1982). In my hometown, there was a dark red/maroon Jeep CJ driving around that was "Dr. Pepper" edition....not sure if it was factory. Anyone know if Jeep offered...
