    Gas Prices

Wish we suffered with even your most extreme prices here in the UK. I pay $1.55 per litre so probably something like $ 6.20 per US gallon. Fuel prices here rise very steeply when the oil price rises per barrel, they don't come down as quickly when the price of a barrel comes down.

    Wire Strippers

Kids and old timers, I only have two teeth of my own these days so these have become necessary for me.

    DANA 44 LSD

When I try this search, it comes back as unable to fetch this spec. Maybe because it was built for the right hand drive market.?

    DANA 44 LSD

Does anyone know up to what year the Limited Slip Diff was standard fit in a Dana 44. Mine was built in late 98, so was the LSD still standard at this time. ? Chris, your TJ specs are a great help

Former / Active Duty Military Members Roll Call

Feel a bit left out this side of the Atlantic. I was lucky enough to serve in the Royal Navy's Fleet Air Arm in the late sixties and throughout the seventies at a time when we had real Aircraft Carriers and Fast Jets. Plenty of cross deck operations with our American counterparts too.

    Tailgate Conversion

Looks to me like if you have to fit a swing out spare wheel carrier to use a drop down tailgate, you have cured the main problem with the standard gate and if you fit a simple drop down table on that you have a win win situation. I have run many Land Rovers with drop down tailgates and can only...

    air condition recharge

I spent 25 years as an Auto Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technician. Take it from someone who has seen first hand the concequences of DIY recharging, take it to a Shop. The most expensive disaster I have seen was a snapped crankshaft on an Aston Martin V8 all caused by the sudden seizure...

    Horn Relay.

Havn't seen hand signals used since the siixties. (Apart from the Jeep wave)

    Horn Relay.

To continue. I still can't identify the other functions of the horn relay. Today I disconnected the white plug from the clock spring. Instantly the idle improved and the Check engine light went out. As I don't have cruise control, the only thing effectively not working is the horn. Until I can...

    The media....

Just read this post and see a lot of similarity with what we have come to expect from the mainstream media over here. Although, there is a glimmer of hope that as a result of their obsessive doom predictions in the run up to our Brexit vote, people are getting a measure of just how biased their...

    Horn Relay.

I have an on going problem with the Check Engine light on constantly and occasional poor running. I have replaced TPS and Idle air control valve (with genuine parts). I also have PO123 code logged. From previous posts I see that the TPS can sometimes suffer from interference via the Clockspring...

    TPS code

Hi Jerry The first replacement was crown but the latest is genuine. Yes I did have the airbag light come on a while ago after the Jeep was stood idle for a few weeks. I put it down to damp and dried it out, I also WD40'd under the dash. After that the airbag light went out. I did read somewhere...

    TPS code

I have the check engine light on all the time. It came on when the battery finally gave up as I previously posted. Since my last post I have replaced the Throttle poition sensor, Idle air control valve (cured the cutting out on return to idle problem). And removed and cleaned all plugs and...
