HPTuner MPVI2 & VCM Suite Review: 100% Full PCM Access For 2005-2006 Jeep Wrangler TJs

You will probably stretch the head bolts and blow the gasket on this motor quick above mild boost levels (10+ PSI)

    TehHeep's 04 TJ Rubicon Build

Update: Finally got around to hacking open the exhaust on her and sure enough, there are some dead kittens in there. This was the downstream primary cat filled with crap from the upstream precat(s). I am going to have to remove the precats and take a look at them more closely.

Why do some people not carry Hi-Lift jacks?

A bunch of people feel the need to drive around with them mounted on the exterior of the jeep full time. I am honestly surprised that more people don't have issues with the jack being constantly exposed to the elements.

Why do some people not carry Hi-Lift jacks?

LOL! 800$!? For a you pump it jack!? It could at least be automatic rapid lifting for that price. Its cool but not many average joes will be purchasing that one...

Why do some people not carry Hi-Lift jacks?

I would avoid using a hi-lift to change a tire or anything that involved me being under/near under the vehicle when supported by one. I would also avoid changing a tire/working in the mud at almost all costs. The hi-lift tire change exception being if I lifted the rig with the hi-lift and set...

    Which Winch?

If I make points I am prepared to discuss and compare their validity. Honestly there aren't too many hydraulic vs electric winch arguments, it was entertaining and informing for all who read. No one searches lol...

    Which Winch?

I don't think ive owned a jeep that didn't have a power steering failure at some point to be honest with you. My YJs, XJ, and TJ all lost a power steering pump or gears at some point, plenty of friends who lost them as well; big tires, lockers, and slow going is hell on them. Hell the Mercedes...

    Which Winch?

Very informative on covering the pros and cons, another reason I like steel cable over synthetic. The duty cycle of hydraulic winches are unmatched. The line speed and fact that it doesn't work without the engine running are major hits for me. Sometimes driving and winching is necessary and a...

LOL! I had forgotten, but will remember now O.O

What do you guys use to camp / live out of your Jeeps?

I call that the bear burrito! Anything you want to keep warm goes in the bag with you (lighters, gas canisters or stove alcohol, water filters, side arms, etc...). You hope that you hear them messing around before they are close enough. They are surprisingly quiet animals for their weight but...

What do you guys use to camp / live out of your Jeeps?

This is why out in the woods I sleep with a .45 ACP and a shotgun, problem solved (hopefully haha). This is also why you NEVER prepare, cook, eat, or keep food in your camp site or your shelter. A hard sided shelter is not going to stop a determined bear, that is what is laughable.

What do you guys use to camp / live out of your Jeeps?

If you can lay in a bed there is a hammock for you. Don't think of these hammocks like the casual ones in your backyard, they don't leave you sleeping like a banana. There is a foot box in the gathered end asymmetrical hammock and you actually lay flat in it at a slight diagonal. Or you can...
