Mine Is stamped on top of the tongue the end of the VIN stanp ends very close to the start of the original hitch.

Mine has the VIN stamped on the tongue & doesn't have a label with the VIN. The original label is the one that has Packmule & the mfg. I'm going to recreate to look exactly like the original & then do a smaller one under breath with the basic trailer ID label info. VIN, year, mfg, weight.

I haven't decided yet but looking at a side entry like the Wavian you mentioned or mounting a top entry diagonally.

I just got the title for an abandoned 1989 packmule that is in excellent condition that was left on my propety years ago. It too has the 4 lights & I want to do the same and fill in the two extra holes. I hope my welds are better too :) but you got the job done.
