I had an intake vacuum leak that produced a whistle under load. I would start there. I Squirted some brake clean or other flammable spray around the intake at the head and listened for the engine to rev. up

Update since last post I went to my local transmission guy and he detected a p1176 solenoid issue. He’s gong to do a full diagnostic of wiring and TCM first but said a solenoid replacement would run about $700-$800.00 job. Sounds hefty to me for just dropping the valve body and replacing the...

As a matter of fact yes it has been in triple digits here in L.A.. As far as wiring, no I have not yet checked. The TCM is a separate unit on 04’s once it cools down a little I’ll try to chase the loom between the ECM / TCM and transmission. As far as codes, they disappear..... My mechanic...
