Just wondering on what other enthusiasts options are regarding the job, how to move forward with it, and what could wait a few weeks. I'm not dismissing the amount of work at all, just don't know if I'm spending more than I can afford.

That's what I thought. I got quoted at 900 for all the work plus an extra 460 for the welding? Seems a little outrageous

Thanks Charles! The rates go for around $100+ here No I don't have a garage. Theres no rot on the frame itself other than heavy surface rust which I plan on cleaning up in the spring months.

For those mechanically/welding inclined, what would your rate be? Is it advisable to do all if the vehicle is a daily driver at 193k miles?

My transmission is doing mostly well. There is a small slip when its running on a cold engine and hits 2000rpms at 25mi/hr. I'll have to get that inspected soon.
