It showed 1 code during the scan, but when I scrolled through it said no codes ? None of the connections on the wiring harness for the AC are connected.

This may seem like a crazy question, but my AC had been broken for some time, so I decided to remove the system, because I don't plan to ever fix it--I don't use it. I expected to see a check engine light, but want to know how to bypass the AC circuit so it isn't sending the light?

Yeah, it didn't close as easy with mine as it did with the hardtop. Sometimes I still have to open and close it a second time to seat the bar in. There is some adjusting he could try on the latch post if it isn't all the way in already.

Sounds good. I was thinking of that as an option too in the beginning-- might just work! There's a lot of weatherstrip in that area that has to work together!

Yes. I took the advice on this thread and closed the tailgate first before putting the bar in. That worked, but I also ended up buying a new bar because the old one had bad weatherstrip. Things tend to settle in after awhile and it's closing great now.

Does it leak after every rain or just really heavy rain? I get some in the passenger side if it's really hard downpours, but I think it's the door seal.

My guess is you'd have to unbolt the windshield so you can lay it over on the hood and check that long rubber seal?

True. After looking it over even more, I'm wondering if the tub flange on that side is a little spread out, possibly from cranking down on the hard top bolts over the years? I tapped along the tub with a rubber hammer and the plastic tabs seemed to seat better?
