    2005 4.0 rebuild list

I appreciate that. Removing the cam then for a basic rebuild.

    2005 4.0 rebuild list

Like I said, I'm trying to improve the original design. These aren't the items I would pick, they're placeholders to see if I'm missing anything. As per the post, I'm trying to improve on the OEM design. These are items that I can replace to increase durability or performance without having to...

    2005 4.0 rebuild list

If anyone can add some of the extra things you can request from a shop that you should do on a rebuild. Ie. Honing cylinders, balancing crank and rods, magnaflux ect. What are some of the things you think helps longevity, drivability, reliability, performance.

    2005 4.0 rebuild list

Hey guys, I know how frowned upon it is to post something that's been talked about, but I couldn't find exactly what I'm looking for and I know a bunch of guys who are too. I wanted to build a list for someone wanting to do a basic rebuild for their 4.0 Nothing crazy like re boring or...

Did you ever find the thread pitch for this? I'm looking at replacing this bolt too.

    05 TJ getting 7 mpg

I checked the FSM for the TJ. You're totally right. I'll have to check my 02 readings. But as of writing this. All three cats are empty now so there should be no blockage whatsoever. Does anyone know the parameters I should be looking for for a healthy fuel trim? I have a half decent scanner...

    05 TJ getting 7 mpg

Lots of guys on here all say they aren't nessicary as the downstream 02 sensors don't sctually do anything other than monitor the condition of the Cats. Only the upstream 02s adjust fuel trim. @Jerry Bransford. I have bung extensions that pull the 02s out of the stream of exhaust to give it a...

    05 TJ getting 7 mpg

Previous owner gutter both cats, I've got extensions on the lower 02 sensors so they don't trip CELs. All 4 new 02 sensors, proper parts numbers for all. The last cat still has its internals so I might gut that one too as it's kinda pointless at this point. Fuel milage is still garbage, so I'm...

    05 TJ getting 7 mpg

Fun little update to today. Was driving it to work this morning. It lost all power around 10 mins into my ride and threw a code. Stalled out on the road but I was able to limp it the rest of the way. P0340 and P0129. Speedo is off by about 1.35% and a few posts on here have mentioned that...

    Error codes P0129 and P0340

I just got this problem this morning. Have you fixed this?

    05 TJ getting 7 mpg

Yes, straight from the stealership, the wire lengths matched the sensors I took off. They were NTK. I don't have the boxes anymore as I threw them out. But I matched the PN to the NTKs on other websites like rock auto, ect. They are indeed the proper sensors. And the plugs were Mopar brand ZF...

    05 TJ getting 7 mpg

Thanks Jerry, I've used mopar sensors for everything else. The TPS sensor OEM is sold out everything close to me up here in Canada, and I don't want to pay $80 in shipping for an $80 part. But I guess I should be a good little jeep owner and bite the bullet I guess.
