Interco Super Swamper TSL / SX2 chalk test results

One does not buy TSL swampers because they're quiet, haha

Interco Super Swamper TSL / SX2 chalk test results

I'm not sure if the outer lugs touch even with them at 5psi. I run mine ~24-28ish. I think I have about 5-7k on mine with minimal wear too. They were supriseingly quiet to start, but got super loud once they started to wear/cup. I would try to rotate them ever 1k or every wheeling trip.

Which jack makes the most sense for supporting transmission?

Depends on how much and what you're doing. Holding the trans to swap the mount/skid plate? Cheap twist jack and a block of wood. Pulling/swaping trans more than once? Fancy transmission jack.

TJ sucks in the snow—are these tires not meant for the snow?

My subaru's had the same ground clearance as a stock TJ... And 2in of lift actually gave 2in more clearance, unlike a solid axle vehicle.:p

TJ sucks in the snow—are these tires not meant for the snow?

Mud/aggressive all terains will dig you out of the ditch. A propper snow/ice tire will help keep you on the road. They are a softer compound and have more sipes to grab the hardpack stuff on the bottom

    Badland Apex Advice

The usefullness of the hobofreight winches is they're cheap and work most of the time. Keyword: most... The apex winch is a stupid purchase. If you're going to spend that much, get something name brand with a warranty and actual support. IMO if you're going to spend more than the $250-$300 for...

Maybe the 30 spline Dana 30 axles are worthwhile?

As far as 'fuses' go, I thought the outer Ujoint, or driveshaft ujoint, were the weak points that would fail first. I had the parts and tools to fix it with me on the trail if I needed to, but made it off the trail and back home without incident. I beat the living **** out of it, and do dumb...

Maybe the 30 spline Dana 30 axles are worthwhile?

They were USA standard chromoly shafts. Trying to figure out the warranty situation, they don't have any way of contacting them directly...

Maybe the 30 spline Dana 30 axles are worthwhile?

Was stuck in a mudpuddle, heard a pop that sounded expensive, and was 3wd after that... Dana 30, usa gear 4.88, yukon carrier, spartan lunchbox. These were USA Standard Chromos...

    Clutch Bypass Fuse (Stopped Working?)

The ECU needs to see a 'normal' no bypass fuse installed condition for awhile after the battery is disconnected or run low. I haven't tested exactly how long it needs to be, but it's more than 1 cold start. I doubt they fried something.

    Clutch Bypass Fuse (Stopped Working?)

And the wiring diagrams are incorrect. The bypass fuse runs to the ecu and no jumps the clutch switch. It changes the idle speed/reaction in addition to turning the 4wd light on. If the clutch switch was actually in the cruise circuit, it wouldnt work with it jumpered/fuse or cut/soldered like...

    Clutch Bypass Fuse (Stopped Working?)

No it doesnt. The cruise disables itself after the RPM rises without a change in speed, I don't think I've ever had it rise more than 2-300rpm. It may be different in older TJs

    Clutch Bypass Fuse (Stopped Working?)

Leave it out for a few start/drive cycles. The ecu needs to 'reset' itself and it will work after that. It will stop working again anytime the battery gets low or disconnected. The FSM wiring diagram is incorect for the 06 too. I haven't found the right one yet. I just cut the wires at the...
