But that was replacing a oem radiator that was doing same thing

I put a 350 chevy in my ol cj no cooling issue. This 4.0 may have to go bye bye. Lol

Severe duty fan clutch. It pulls lots of air.. had nice oem water pump. But changed it anyways.. seeems lots of these 4.0 have this isue

Only thing i can think of that i haven't changed is radiator cap

It done it with oem parts also so I'm confused. Oem factory radiator. Replaced cause small leak but also at idle run hot.

I'm having same issue.. changed engine a couple months ago cause piston slap. But it did same thing with old engine. Since then put in a new radiator from advance. Water pump, Old one seemed fine. Thermostat, radiator hoses, 2 jeep fan clutches and fans. Now i put a ford explorer fan clutch...
