What did you do to your TJ today?

Had to put the doors on again as we have heavy rain for the next five days. ☹️
So decided to put some marine grease on the hinges before put the doors back on.

5 days of rain sucks! We had our wettest year ever in West Oz this year but summer has hit in one foul swoop with the uv index extreme every day, couldnt wear shorts with the doors off here we would have one red leg lol

Yeah been there done that...my right leg is darker than my left haha.
We had a great start and warm sun for the last 3 weeks....so we were due for some of the wet stuff. ( I was just hoping it turned up on Monday and not today :cautious: )

A-HA! Gotcha, ya bastard! Small coolant leak that I've been dealing with since I bought this thing - very, very slow lowering of the level in the puke bottle. Seller replaced the thermostat and thermostat housing, doesn't look like he used a gasket - found THIS:

Going down to Napa to pickup a gasket...

You put a watt meter between the battery and the controller, I looked up a vid before I bought mine and I believe the one I bought was running around 100w and puts out a max of 9.6 amp. Numbers aside it kept my battery fully charged for fridge lights and usb charging plus its only 4 panel instead of the older 120w which had 6 panels.

On the hunt now. The link you posted shows sold out, but I got the scent! Thanks!

EDIT: Found this. 150 amp

New gasket put on - there *was* a gasket there, so don't know why it was leaking. Hopefully its stopped now.

I used one of these with my pressure washer to clean the inside of my frame, it works awesome.

I used a combination of tools. I've already added drain holes. I used a pressure washer at the drive in self car wash to start. Then added a length of garden hose to the end of the pressure washer wand. Did exactly the same with compressed air with a vacuum sucking through each of the available holes. Also used a telescoping magnet

Celebrated the 5th anniversary of picking up my TJ by pulling the drain plug on the radiator without a real clear plan on what was going to happen next, I had forgotten the design of that plug & the force that shit comes out; shit was flying in every direction. Got about a gallon & a half contained but what looked to be another half gallon all over the place, dripping everywhere. But I got’r done.

You can see the half-assed mop job I did underneath. Oh, & after all was said & done it wouldn't start, just got a click every time I turned the key, figured I got something wet that shouldn't have gotten wet so I turned a box fan on it overnight to dry it all out & she fired up perfectly today, not sure what that was all about

Bought me an LJ today. Body is in pretty good condition, frame not so much on a corner. Not sure if I am going to sell as is, fix the frame to sell or keep, or LS it like my TJ since I know what I am doing this time around. If I can sell my truck and a $250 Kia I got I might just keep this as a solid winter beater once the cap is welded in.
