What is a cheap locker for a Dana 35?

Cheapest would be a lunchbox locker... but any locker on a stock Dana 35 and 33's will soon become expensive.

What is a cheap locker for a Dana 35?I’m running 307 gears on 33s.
First, you'd be much better off regearing away from 3.07 to a ratio more appropriate for 33's. Second, but mainly, your Dana 35 is not strong enough for a locker and 33's. That combination will snap an axle shaft and leave you stranded on the trail.

The below two photos show what happens to a Dana 35 with either a locker or 35" tires.

You can make the Dana 35 strong enough for lockers with a Super 35 kit but personally I'd spend the $$$ to regear the axles to get rid of that 3.07 ratio. Not only will performance skyrocket your mpg will even go up once you get an appropriate ratio installed.

If you're interested, what engine and transmission do you have?

Lunch box or some other type of ratchet typ is cheapest. And you will hate it. I would suggest a selectable locker and upgrading axles and such.
Something like a super 35 kit.

Well technically the cheapest locker is a Lincoln locker... welding the spider gears in the rear diff. Takes about 5 to 10 minutes depending on if you use brake cleaner before you weld.

No implied recommended one way or another...just an answer.

Just a friendly reminder: Welding chlorinated brake cleaner will fuck your internal organs, if it doesn't kill you. LINK

If you really want a locker, you might want to consider lunch box Locker in the front axle, and regear both axles to a better ratio. That would be the “cheap” way, and probably the least likely way to break axles. But nothing is guaranteed.
