Typically forum members will tell you to stay away from RE. But the Rancho shocks are highly regarded.

2.5" might be a bit too much lift depending on your jeep if all your wanting to spend is $600. Might want to drop down to 2" or possibly just run a coil spacer.

What are the long-term plans for the Jeep?

RE as in Rubicon Express?? Been years since I bought and lift parts, but way back I thought Rubi was considered good stuff. I do think they sold out to Trans American and if thats when they went to shit, if they did, no explanation needed.

Yeah rubicon express. I’ve never owned any of their stuff but practically everything I’ve seen or heard was that it was badly designed like really low free lengths on coils with high spring rates or poor quality on their suspension components.

LOL a 4.25 inch kit for big city driving and highway.
3" suspension lift and 1.25 body lift with a motor mount lift. 3" suspension is .5" more than what OP is looking for. The 1.25" body lift allows for the 1" motor mount lift to get rid of vibes by fixing driveline angle. Includes the shocks, track bar relocation bracket, and extended sway bar links for $617 from a reputable company. Perhaps you have a suggestion for the OP?

This is what I did and would recommend it to others.
- 2” BDS Springs with 0.75” spacer up front
- Black max shocks. B8525 & B8518 (Rancho 5000x fine too)
- Correct bump stops (cut to length after cycling suspension)
- Motor mount lift. Aluminum spacer kind, Rough country is fine. After my lift I only had slight vibes around 40mph. Very slight. The MML completely removed them without having to drop the transfer case. YMMV. I relocated the fan shroud so I did not use a body lift.

All of this was less than $600 and works well together.

Zone 4.25 combo lift would be my suggestion for your budget. If you get vibes after install you can add washers between your frame and T-case skid.

I concur. Best budget lift "kit" on the market. What size tires do you want to run?

Is Denver considered "big city"? I run 5.25" lift and 35x12.5 tires all over this city and highways. To Utah and back several times. Ohio and back once. Over the twisted, paved passes of the rockies innumerable times. Dude wants a lift... let him have it🤷‍♂️

I’m trying to picece together a decent lift kit for mostly high way driving. I would like to spend as little as possible with the best quality I can find in my budget (600ish dollars)
Can anyone tell me if this build is any good?

That RE kit is for a JK.

See the link above to the Zone kit. Fits your budget and can install just the 3” spring lift and not the 1.25” body lift.

I really don’t want to run big tires since I’m mostly city and highway. I was thinking 31 inches would be good for occasionally hitting the trail.

Yeah I guess I was looking at older posts because I thought RE was considered good quality

I plan on restoring it and using it as a daily driver but I really don't drive much to begin with. I would like to be able to take it off road but I won't be doing that very often.

I want to get it lifted and put on 31 inch tires. In the spring I will replace the hardtop with a bowless soft top and take it to the beach. I'm also planning on getting a boosted tech supercharger installed in the near future.

For 31” tires you just need 1-2” lift. You can do a 1” BL or a 1” SL or a 1” BL + 1” SL. Spacers are fine for the SL. You can go many places off-road on 31’s.
