Ok so I found someone selling a JKS front track bar for what seemed like a reasonable price. NOS, never installed, got it home and realized it mounts differently than what my TJ has on it now.

Looking to sell it and replace with something else.
Willing to take a small hit on the price of someone is local and I don’t have to ship it.

What track bar should I be looking for instead?

Also, is it possible to just swap out the threaded portion for a ball joint type mount vs the JKS through bolt type?
TIA

If what you have isn't stock, you'll need to supply picture's, with close ups of the ends, of what's on your jeep now. Also, what's the JKS part number on what you have here?

The concern is mounting. Passenger side looks like it bolts right up, driver side appears to need some modification. Perhaps drilling out the mount, which doesn’t sound difficult.
What are the pros/cons of doing so?

My buddy has this on his XJ with 3" lift. You basically just drill out the hole a bit larger and it bolts right up. It's stronger than the stock ball joint.

I recently installed a JKS front track bar in my Jeep and I also had to drill out the drivers side mount, its not hard and it allows for a bigger bolt

I just did this last weekend. You'll need a 9/16" drill bit. Easy to do!

Edit: The only con is you can't go back to stock, not that you'd want to. The pros far outweigh the cons!

This is the track bar bracket I have. Kinda doesn’t look OEM to me but I dunno. Maybe good time to replace? If so, with what?

Drill out the frame side mount, it’s barely bigger than factory hole, takes 30 seconds, use the jks bar.

You’ll be able to better center your axle with the lift you have, that is why the previous owner drilled that extra hole in the axle.

You may need a right angle drill or a shorter than normal drill bit. Or you can try jacking the frame up if your drill won’t fit.

The stock track bar (Moog DS1235) is $46 on Amazon. Your axle side mount is already drilled to accommodate your 3 inch lift so you really don't need an adjustable track bar.
