‘Good liking Jeep! It actually looks a bit like mine.there isn't much in all of automotive history that has the same visual appeal as half doors on a TJ for that matter.
It's hard to believe that they were brought to us by the same engineers that created the shovel on the very same rig

@Mudflat that's a beautiful rig in fantastic shape. As @JMT once said of his, looks good from afar but far from good , that's mine too. But style-wise, nothing touches the TJ, the pinnacle of Jeep thus far. Mine has gone through some morphing over its years in my custody, I built it reasonably well for the terrain in my little corner of Appalachia, then unbuilt it back to as close to stock as I could get it while retaining its appearance. Here's some older shots in various incarnations, sorry (not sorry) to blow up the JL thread with random TJ pictures:
Wow! Thanks. It’s moderately built. It already had the lift, wheels & 33”/12.50R15 tires when I bought it. I got rid of the ugly chrome tube bumpers & side steps, got Smittybilt bumpers, 9,500 pound winch, Pro Comp LED headlights & did some front end work. The 20” KC light bar came off of my previous truck. I also got rid of the terrible stock 3.08 gears & got 4.56 gears, chromoly axles Tru Tracks & new front hubs.@Mudflat that's a beautiful rig in fantastic shape. As far as I know it’s OEM. The Jeep was so nice when I got it 16 months ago that I imagine it spent most if it’s time inside a garage. That’s where it stays now unless we’re our RVing. What soft top is that? OEM or bestop replacement?
I have been trying to find clear windows rear/back for my '05 and it's next to impossible to find.
I still don't see the point of half doors. Full doors, no doors, and tube doors I get.
If they were cheap or I didnt wheel where they would get torn up I'd buy them. Especially when rolling down the window is so easy and it works just fine.My first TJ '97 I special ordered with half doors and hated them. Every TJ I've had since that one has had full doors. Zipping the window down to reach out of the window (for whatever) was way too much hassle for me.
The sad thing is if I had a JL and went wheeling, I’d be pulling them off and throwing on some trail doors, wouldn’t want to damage them!I think they look outstanding.
All you need now is some Oem wheels To complete the look@Mudflat that's a beautiful rig in fantastic shape. As @JMT once said of his, looks good from afar but far from good , that's mine too.
