I just had a set of these installed. Stock 225/75R15's. So far, I'm very impressed. The ride is so much smoother than the previous tires. The sidewall profile is much more rounded which makes those sidewall patterns functional instead of just show. Probably accounts for the better ride.

Consumer Reports, the only organization who actually lab test tires in an unbiased fashion, rate these 3/17 against all the other AT tires. They seem to be tailor-made for a Jeep, excelling in the characteristics most important to us. At $50/tire cheaper than a Michelin, they're not expensive.

Some sizes of this tire actually have the snow-flake symbol. With a narrower contact patch, they should excel in the white stuff.

I'm picking up 5 of these in two weeks - now you got me excited!

Just our of curiosity, why didn't you go with the Duratrac? I hadn't heard about these until now, but they seem very similar to the Duratrac, especially being an AT tire.

Thinking probably due to the price. First place I checked the Trailrunner was $129, the Duratrac $192. Might also be due to the Duratracs have a reputation for being a bit noisy on the highway.

What did you run previously?

Duratrac's don't come in 225/75R15. Maybe 235/75's but in an LT which I certainly don't want/need. This stock size was only just released this summer in the Trailrunners. The tires they replaced were store-brand all-terrains from Cambodian Tire. Too straight and stiff on the sidewalls.

No lift! I keep my Jeep stock, light, and nimble. It's actually quite quick for a 4 cyl and I would rather not compromise that to stroke my ego. For the type of occasional off-roading I do, they're just the ticket!
