What do I need to do to put 35s on a stock Wrangler TJ?

I do want 15" rims. And I think All Terrains would be best. Any suggestions?
BF Goodrich KO2s is good choice. That's what I run. Goodyear Duratracs is also a popular choice.

Maybe some other could chime in here, since I haven't had experience with any other tires.

Will a 3" lift do the job?
Since you seem dead set on 35's, regardless of your jeeps ability to support them.....here is what you should do.

Get a 2 inch budget boost. Get a 1.5" body lift. Get some hockey pucks to increase the height of your bumpstops. Get a bunch of washers and some longer bolts and lower your transfer case an inch or two. Get some motor mount lifts so the fan wont destroy the shroud. Forget getting new wheels. Just slap some 35's on whatever wheel you are running now.

Increase the length of your steering stops by a ton so that you won't rub as much though your turning radius may the same as a school bus. Take your fender flares off, if you don't your tires will do that for you. Grab your saw-zall and start cutting everything that looks like a fender.

Find a chiropractor also and schedule a few months worth of appointments. You will have a jeep with 35's, but you will also be 2 inches shorter by the time you get sick of driving it due to a compressed spine. Also grab some adult diapers because your handling will be scary and you will be breaking things all the time.

Is that the answer you were hoping for?

***Edit*** You should also get some confederate flag stickers....some big ones. This will be the most red-necked ride out there. This is the Jeep equivalent of the Carolina Squat.

Funny...Sorry to dissapoint you but I'm going with 33s :)

Have had decent luck with the General Grabber A/Tx.
I would have said the same within the first 10k miles on mine, but my buddy bought some for his tacoma in 2020 and they have been giving him hell at high speeds. maybe band shift type issue. I don't knock the tire completely. But I recently have had some shaking with mine as well. neither of us had issues before the generals. Based on price and the fact that they have kicked ass for me offroad, I would probably do them again, but I would go through a local tire shop instead of tire rack like I did. That way I have someone to complain to if they get really bad. XD

So, if street behavior is more important, then maybe go with bfgoodrich or something.

Sorry, don't mean to change the thread topic. Just thought id throw my two cents in on the general grabber atx tire.

BFG KO2's are good for all around driving. I have BFG AllTerrains, 31x10.5x15 (before the KO nomenclature) on my '05, and the only complaint I have is I need to replace them due to dry-rot/checking. I was in Florida with them, probably only have about 4000 miles, but they have nearly 10 years in the Florida sun.

Shoot me a PM about this because I’d like to know more without hijacking this thread.

I’ve had more issues with BFG’s but I’ve also had more sets of BFG’s than General’s. My data is skewed.

I do not have PM rights yet because I haven't made 20 posts yet.
But ill make it as short and sweet as I can because I don't really have that much info about the issue to share.
My buddy ordered the metric equivalent of 31.5 by 10.5 r16 and I ordered 30 by 9.5 r15. Both ordered about two to three months apart from tire rack. We both had our tires mounted and balanced at a reputable local shop. Both of us have had issues with shaking on the freeway at higher speeds. left to right type body shake. Mine was purely body, did not effect steering. His shook his wheel a bit. He rotated his tires and it got worse. I haven't rotated mine yet, so its too early to say. I presume we got a bad batch of tire. But i haven't cared to get a warranty claim of sorts. and I'm not even sure that I could now, because I ran over a flat head screwdriver last week and had to get a patch. LOL

Ill be sure to try general grabbers again if you haven't experienced this with your batch. What is the date code of your tire? and How many miles are on it? Ours are mid 2020 date codes. I have roughly 10k on mine.
If you have PM rights, and can start a PM with me, that would be great. Otherwise Maybe @Chris can help me out with PM rights :)
