Mods that I liked more than I expected

I like all of my mods... in no particular order, other than how my brain happened to recall them:
Bypassing the failed fog light switch on the multi-switch to a factory-matched switch in the dash.
Upgrading to the double-din radio (and amp, sub, speakers).
Upgrading the front seats to JK.
Full carpet kit.
LED headlights w/ DTRL.
Upgraded the factory fog lights with LED bulbs to match the color of the headlights.
Dash/console lighting upgraded to blue LED.
Wet Okole seat covers w/ heat & lumbar.
New Rough Country 2.5" suspension kit, along w/ new wheels and 32" BFG K02's (rides great now!)
3rd brake light inside spare tire.
Flipped mirror.
Swapped visors.
Indexed window crank handles.
Made phone mounts that are secure and don't interfere with factory stuff.
Foot pegs for when the doors are off.
Aux mirror mounts for when doors are off.
Added eye-bolts to the holes around the tub lip for securing bungee cords, cargo net, etc. (helps keep my shit in the Jeep).
Aftermarket TPMS system (to hopefully catch any small leaks).
Brush guards on all of the lights.
Other shit is just maintenance and/or repair, but still worthwhile and necessary to enjoy the Jeep.

The wife will say none of these things thrilled her as much as when we finally got all of the John Bull East pinstripes buffed out!
Lol, you added a whole aftermarket TPMS system, but think installing LEDs and a quick rewire to support them is crazy? :ROFLMAO:

When I bought my first TJ in 2000 I immediately disliked the fact I needed a key to lock the tailgate.
I spent about 5 mins figuring out how to use a string to lock it and have since done the same mod to both my current LJ’s.
Please explain

I'm sure they've been mentioned repeatedly:
  • Seat risers in the LJ (what's with the 03-06 seats being so low?)
  • Spiderweb shades for both TJ and LJ (buy a TJ length one for an LJ if you don't like it dropping down into your rearview mirror's field of view)
  • Hella E-code H4 housings for both (I'm sure LED's and HID's get more instagram credit, but these just plain work and are affordable)

Right after my Jeep bought it she purchased two of the domed mirrors that glue onto your side mirrors. I thought that was a ridiculous thing to do until I drove it. Damn they improved blind spot visibility soooo much!

Nth Degree tummy tuck is awesome.

SYE works fantastically.

Adjustable control arms.

LED headlights. I can see the road now.

Hardtop - I LOVE taking the top of in the summer. I have been doing that since I bought my CJ5 in 1990. However, I am making a long of long solo road trips now and I like the security of the hardtop. Working on sourcing wiring and switches to make the wiper and defogger functional.

Black Magic Brakes - so far I really like them. I was tired of replacing the stock calipers every year. I don't have a lot of miles on them yet, but I definitely can feel the difference. FANTASTIC customer service!

An absolute must-have for any truck or truck like vehicle. Helps to have on cars too. Pretty much the first thing I put onto my Jeep when I got it.

Nth degree tummy tuck with separate crossmember makes it that much more convenient to do service or inspection.

Did you add a crossmember to an Nth skid?
Yes I was able to get the factory mount back in also, it pushed everything up a bit. I have an LJ so driveshaft angle wasn’t a problem. Now the skid drops out with the 6 bolts and I can still drive it and work on it. I may make a few mods to drop it down a inch or so. Right now I have no idle vibration.
