So I've got the TC shifter in and I can shift into 2hi, 4hi and neutral but when I shift into 4lo it keeps popping back into neutral, how am I supposed to adjust it?

I think we need you to chill a little bit. This kid is 16, just like me. A lot of things are hard to understand and explain on jeeps. Give him a second.
This has nothing to do with Jeeps. It all has exactly to do with telling us what he needs to know. So far he has asked how to adjust it when it is very clear it is practically impossible to adjust without tools.

Then he says he tried to make the cable shorter so we have to clarify if he tried and failed or what.

What on earth are you talking about? He didn't say anything about making the cable shorter and obviously you need tools to adjust it. When did he say anything about tools?¿? He is just asking how to adjust it.

I need to know why my TC is popping out of 4lo, seeing as your the dude who designed the frickin shifter I'd think you would know what I need to do.

Not that this info isn't at least 50 places on here but purely because I'm enjoying a nice cup of coffee and not quite ready to head back down and do some more packaging, the basics for you.

Both shift levers have to be in the same mode.
Cable length is set exactly between them at that point with the inside lever just about 1/8" from the end of the gate.

When both levers are in the same mode, you should be able to disconnect one end and neither lever moves. If they do, adjust the cable length until they don't.

Travel or throw is set by moving the cable housing in the mount. If you need more throw to move the t-case further into a mode, move the cable housing that direction. If the handle is hard against the end of the gate in 2hi, move the cable housing longer.

The adjustment is correct when there is the same 1/8" of free space at the end of the shifter at both ends of the travel in the cab.

You adjust it with tools.
ya don't say?!?

It is popping out of 4 low because it is maladjusted. It isn't going into that mode far enough so it needs more throw if you have the cable length set correctly.
