So I've got the TC shifter in and I can shift into 2hi, 4hi and neutral but when I shift into 4lo it keeps popping back into neutral, how am I supposed to adjust it?
I have never been able to adjust one without tools, what are you using? So I've got the TC shifter in and I can shift into 2hi, 4hi and neutral but when I shift into 4lo it keeps popping back into neutral, how am I supposed to adjust it?
huh? I'm asking how to adjust the linkage so I can shift into 4lo?I have never been able to adjust one without tools, what are you using?
You said you already had it where it would go into 4lo.huh? I'm asking how to adjust the linkage so I can shift into 4lo?
I forgot how I did mine, but I belive you just loosen and then tighten the bolts once you got it adjusted just right. So I've got the TC shifter in and I can shift into 2hi, 4hi and neutral but when I shift into 4lo it keeps popping back into neutral, how am I supposed to adjust it?
it barely will go in and as soon as I take my hand off the shifter it pops back outYou said you already had it where it would go into 4lo.
What have you done to adjust it other than just hook shit up and pray for the best?it barely will go in and as soon as I take my hand off the shifter it pops back out
We don't, we just need someone with a tolerable command of the English language.I think we need some pics
I think we need you to chill a little bit. This kid is 16, just like me. A lot of things are hard to understand and explain on jeeps. Give him a second. We don't, we just need someone with a tolerable command of the English language.
This has nothing to do with Jeeps. It all has exactly to do with telling us what he needs to know. So far he has asked how to adjust it when it is very clear it is practically impossible to adjust without tools.I think we need you to chill a little bit. This kid is 16, just like me. What on earth are you talking about? He didn't say anything about making the cable shorter and obviously you need tools to adjust it. When did he say anything about tools?¿? He is just asking how to adjust it.This has nothing to do with Jeeps. It all has exactly to do with telling us what he needs to know. Then he says he tried to make the cable shorter so we have to clarify if he tried and failed or what.
I need to know why my TC is popping out of 4lo, seeing as your the dude who designed the frickin shifter I'd think you would know what I need to do.This has nothing to do with Jeeps. that was on my build thread, I asked this same question there before starting a new thread. He didn't say anything about making the cable shorter
You adjust it with tools. He is just asking how to adjust it.
It is popping out of 4 low because it is maladjusted. It isn't going into that mode far enough so it needs more throw if you have the cable length set correctly.I need to know why my TC is popping out of 4lo, seeing as your the dude who designed the frickin shifter I'd think you would know what I need to do.
Well then, stop asking how to adjust it.ya don't say?!?
