Turbo Kit Test TJ

Ahh...less rolling resistance! :ROFLMAO:
And less weight

I'm also following along. After having a couple turbo vehicles, I really like how they work. I'd bet it's the Simplist way to make real pretty in the TJ too. More reliable than a stroker, far easier to install than a V8

It was such a nice day today I put it on the dyno and did some baseline pulls. It actually made some pretty good power for the age and the miles.

Wow so it makes max torque right off the bat. This is interesting because I always though I needed more torque to make the 42rle work in OD, but that graph makes it look like HP is the key. No wonder driving around town is so bad I'm making less than 100hp under 2700rpm!!

It would be interesting to see the bump with NA and a tune before the forced induction.

I would guess 15-20 hp at peak and 20-25 tq.

I was going to ask for a stock engine with a "tune" dyno pull too. When I got tuning software my first change was adding 5* in the bottom right of the timing table and it was very noticeable. I am on about my 7th version now and pretty happy with it. I need to get an O2 sensor for fueling, but doubt there is not much to gain in A/F.

Following this one, Im local if you need another test rig (01 4.0 manual no BL), I would be curious to see if you could modify the kit to take into account WindStar style Cowl intakes
