Project "Frankentrailer"

Raptor liner for the railing.

It did a good job of covering some of my body work sin.

Wow! I’m jealous.

I’ve been running through ideas for a little trailer like yours, not Jeep tubs, but a small, big tires kinda thing.

I like how you put the tubs together to utilize the wheel wells and tail gates and such.
Many guys use pickup beds, or old military trailer boxes, but
this is much more original. Or, at least I’ve never seen this kind of mod done.

Great job! And thanks for the great post on your project!

😺

The mount for the gas can is a nice addition.

I still need to fabricate a bumper and install a receiver in case I want to take the bikes. I liked @Midnight LJR 's use of the round tubing on his trailer, so I might go that route and tie it in to the receiver.

Your welcome to come borrow the bender, unless @Alex01 gets it first for his tube fenders.

Small update:

I farmed this project out to a professional. I don't have the tools to bend tube, so I had a local fab shop build a rack for me.
My wife and I want to get back into kayaking, and I no longer have a vehicle that can haul them, so enter Frankentrailer!

I wanted it to be fairly easy to remove if I found the need. I'll be painting it in the coming days, then it's kayak shopping time.
The foundation is set for a possible RTT in the future.

That’s nice!

And my tube bender is at @Alex01 house he needs a reason to use it.

I still need to bend a bumper for it once I weld on a receiver hitch in the back to tie in to it.
I'd have to check the pipe attachments he gave me but I want to say he gave me 1.5 and 1.75" DOM dies.

You're more than welcome to use it.
