My other vehicle is a Ram 2500 and I have been very happy with the CAWCAR magnetic ball mount that I have in it. Perfect in all ways so I bought that for the jeep....It's not working! Jeep is too bumpy. The phone ends up pointing down after a mile or less. What have you found successful?

I used a Ram mount, used a large fender washer under the dash.

Dash Mount Cell Phone Holder Jeep Compatible Wrangler (2007-2010 JK and 1997-2006 TJ) with Ball Mount for iPhone and Android Smartphone – Features Heavy Duty Carbon Fiber Kevlar Arm

Thank you all for so many ideas. I decided to go with the above mount from Bulletpoint. Looks HD enough to hold steady and it will allow the phone to be mostly under the level of the dash which is what I wanted. I'm not upset that I have to drill a few small holes.

Here’s what I did. I’ve got a scosche magic mount setup in all our cars. I had to get creative with the Jeep but it works great and holds up while on the trail too. I found a little bolt that fit inside the socket. Then because the bolt was there had to file the back of the ball off to pan the phone towards the driver seat.

I carry two phones iPhone 11 Pro (very heavy) and iPhone 11 and both stay pretty well put when on rough trails.

67 Designs mounted to my Rock Hard Bar (y), if you look to the right you can see what Ram Mount sells for bar mounts  and why I removed it

Bulletpoint seems stout. Newly installed.... headed out to trona and panamints next week. I'll see if it is up to the task.
