TJ Replacement Turn Signal Switch Issue

I have a 2002 TJ Sport with manual transmission. The original turn signal switch has the common fog light switch problem. Fog light switch will not turn off. All other switch functions are working correctly. Headlights, turn signals, flashers, dash light dimmer, high beams... All work correctly. The only problem is the push/pull fog light switch on the switch handle. My fix years ago was to simply unplug the fog lights at the bumper. I finally got motivated to fix the problem and found a DIY video that clearly shows the what the common mechanical switch failure is and how to fix if you are willing to tear into it. Instead, I decided to purchase an aftermarket replacement switch from an online parts store. Installed it and found that the hazard lights an turn signals did not function. So I sent if back and got a refund. Next, I ordered a Mopar OEM replacement switch from an online Mopar parts store, including verifying that it was an exact match with my VIN. Installed the Mopar part and exact same issue. Loss of turn signal and hazard functions. The part is not returnable. Next I went to the nearest Jeep dealer with the actual new Mopar part. They checked my VIN and verified that I had the correct part. They suggested that it must be a wiring problem with my vehicle. That makes no sense to me as the original switch is fully functioning with the exception fog light switch function. My next move is to get a wiring diagram and see if I can detect any wiring differences in the new part compared to the original part. I've search the interweb pretty thoroughly and cannot find any reference to a replacement switch compatibility issue. The jeep originally did not have cruise control. When I bought I ordered the cruise control kit and installed myself without any difficulty, However, the wiring for the CC switches are separate from the turn signal. Has anyone seen this issue. Looking for help before I dive in deeper to wiring.

Whoops. That was it. Can believe I did not catch that. Swapped and good to go. Everything is working and I have OEM Mopar replacement. For anyone else. The relay plugs into the back side of the multi switch on the wiper control side. Mine had a large white factory label covering both the relay and top of the switch so I didn’t even notice it.

Glad it was that easy! Sort of anyway. You'll be glad you got the Mopar one anyways. These sort of things aftermarket are not always great.

Can anyone point me in the right direction for either a mopar replacement or the instructional information on how to repair the original one installed?

It’s possible but I’m not sure how likely. I know the fog light switch fails on them historically. I repaired mine pretty easily. Works great now. I’d probably check wiring and connections first before taking apart the column, not that it’s too hard.
