2006 Wrangler TJ Unlimited Rubicon. 36000 miles. Front driver side brakes locked up after a 45 minute highway drive. Jacked up front end and could not rotate the tire by hand. Passenger side OK. Pads OK, rotor looks OK and is within thickness spec. Did some research and decided to replace both calipers and front brake hoses.
Got the calipers off with no problem. Disconnected the brake hose from the caliper and removed the hard line from the hose.
Cannot get the torx screw that holds the brake hose to the frame loose on either side. PB blaster applied. No help. This screw goes into the frame.
I am concerned about using a torch to heat it up as there is brake fluid present.
Any ideas on how to get these fasteners loose?
Thanks!
