They are lighter than most others. That relates to the fact they run small. Both are reasons I decided to run them with my 4.56 gears and NSG-370 on 35's. Ideally my gearing would be 4.88, but what I've found is that at 70mph on these tires I'm running 2750-2800rpm, so I'm pleased.Don't know where this is in anyone's decision process, but a recent thread mentioned that the BFG's were substantially lighter than some of the other brands - like 40lb per tire. No hands on experience but just relating what was posted elsewhere.
They're not 40lb per tire lighter. They weigh 64.8 lbs, whereas the others usually weigh between 67 and 80lbs. There are one or two that are lighter (DC Extreme Country), but they didn't meet my needs.
