I'd guess because it keep the factory relationship with the grill to the frame rather than adding an extra long rubber snubber that would flex more than intended?
That and at least with JKS, their longer hotdog snubber was too short. I noticed immediately that the front end shook significantly less with the Savvy body lift.

Incidentally, in only the most petty, nitpicky sense you aren't wrong to be irritated by Savvy and their incorrect product description. In every other regard, you are being an overly dramatic baby about it. You got exactly what you were supposed to get because this is exactly what everyone else has received for many many years. If your factory rubber snubbers are old and unusable, then deal with it and move on.

I have no idea why you felt the need to post this last post, and edit it to flame me harder. Guess Blaine had you pegged with the fucktard comment. You sweet on one of the Savvy guys or something? Sorry if I hurt your feelings.

@AMS417 , one of my original grill bumpers ripped apart when taking it off. I bought 2 replacements on eBay, I think. They just snap into a groove cut into the extenders. You’ll need to snip a little off the tip of the bumper that snaps into the extender.

That's the plan, when I get to that point I will address it. No big deal, just a little false advertising.

No. I reread your comments.

I call bullshit..if this was any other produc besides savvy you and everyone else would be pissed. How hard is it to update a website to reflect what is shipped? I don't think it's the missing bumpers that the OP is upset about, it's the misleading/dishonest description.

If I sell you a brake caliper that says it comes with crush washers and they aren't included you would bitch up a storm..be honest about it

If you ordered a brake caliper that suggested it didn't come with crush washers and it showed up with crush washers, would you bitch about it? Send them back perhaps?

I don't have a dog in this fight, but it seems that the OP received something that was superior to what was described.

I don't think so. AMS is more upset that he didn't get the inferior product description that the idiots at Savvy incorrectly wrote into their website (but no one ever receives and almost no one ever complains about) than he is about getting a better method of extending the factory snubbers.

If they were supplying replacement snubbers for 20 year old Jeeps, why not also replacement body mounts? He ordered a body lift and he received body lift. Get over it.

And it isn't difficult for Savvy (or Genright) to fix their website descriptions. That neither of them do is pure laziness. It's easier than answering the backlog of phonecalls and returning the emails that Savvy also rarely does these days. I don't care what Jerry says about them not having an on-staff website person. They don't buy stickers either.

And if he was truly upset about the incorrect website description, he should also be furious with Genright and the raised body mounts he might be purchasing from them. But he isn't, isn't he?

Yeah, I understand. They can pretty frustrating to deal with.

When I ordered my engine skid maybe 3-4 years ago, their website showed an older version on it. It still shows the older version today. LOL

When did I buy Genright raised body mounts? You might have ESPN but you sure don’t have ESP.
