Well, wanted some 33x10.5x15 tires. Since my KO2's left me stuck in a field this week, Finally decided on KM3's. Between google and my tire shop searching - we found 3 tires, pretty much a national backorder. No clue when that will be over, So looking for alternatives. My shop might be able to get some Mickey Thompson tires - will call on Monday to confirm they are Legend MTZ's. I think I might have found some Super Swamper TSL's (Radials). Toyo Open Country M/T's also appear to be available.

I have done a little research, seems there is not a lot of love for the Super Swamper radials. The Ledgend MTZ's have pretty much no forum reviews (reasonable good things on the original MTZ and MTZ P3. Have not researched much into the Toyo's, but heard them suggested in a few post s.

Just curious what other's might have to say. Currently have General's. They are not really the size I want and seem kind of stiff being E rated. I have KM3's and KO2's on other vehicles.

Lots of websites like Discount Tire claim to have inventory that doesn't exist. I'd recommend calling your favorite tire shops...then expand your search as far as your willing to drive.

I don't get stuck (much) with my KO2 33x10.5s now that I've put e-lockers and 4.88s in the axles. Winch gets used a whole lot less.

Are the Mickey Thompsons available in that size? I'm going to 35s as soon as I wear mine out...just need body and mml.

Stuck in a field? If the axles or frame get stuck then it doesn't matter what tire you have. Is that what happened to you? Might be wasting money on tires if that's the case.

Tires for 15" wheels seem to be dying off, so you're likely just seeing the start of the choices really declining. Already the MTR/k s are done for that size wheel, even getting them for a 17" is slow.

I was stuck in that my vehicle would not move forward or backwards - at the time I gave up the first time, my ruts were less than 4" deep. Later in the day I aired down and worked out of that possition, but ended up digging in somewhat deeper about 150' latter. I stopped before I got to the axles - my field and my mess to clean up afterwards. Most of that field is sand, but dozer work had brought just enough clay to the surface to make it slick as snot on the far corner. I drove out without difficulties 2 days latter when the surface crusted over.

I just purchased the LJ. I have quite a few changes I plan on making on it, most of which as soon as I can source parts and schedule a mechanic (I need to regear, and will probably put on lockers). Most of the modifications will be primarily functional, abet some will be for very specific functions (such as changing the bumper to connect a flat tow hitch and a winch), Adding a roof rack to carry a kayay or canoe or a base for a shark fishing tower. The wheels are probably the least function focused change (I do want to change the look), but am hoping to improve function while I do it. I can make up reasons why I want to go from 35" to 33", from 12.5" to 10.5", from E rated to C rated, and from 17" rims to 15" rims... But in the end, I think it just looks better, and if it is easier on my 16 year old Jeep, or fuctions a little better - that's the bonus that makes the sale.

The legend MTZs just look like an updated sidewall and branding to go with the rest of Mickeys Baja line, the MtZ P3s we’re a great tire, I wouldn’t hesitate going with the updated legend MTZ

Well, after finding there were only 3 KM3's we could find in the supply chain, talked with the tire shop about the Mickey Thompson yesterday - 4 available in the supply chain. Well, wanted a 5th for the spare, but rolled the dice that I could find one latter. When I dropped off the rims today (the tires are due in tomorrow), 4 more had showed up in the S. Texas supply chain - so all 5 should be arriving tomorrow.

FWIW, did find a video comparing the P3 to the Ledgend. Very simular, but small differences. Different rubber compound, more pronounced side lugs, a change in the center lugs to reduce some road noise. I guess I find find out tomorrow or Thursday.

Mickey Thompson Baja Boss MT have been impressing me. A couple weeks ago my neighbor slid his z-turn down an embankment and halfway into a pond after a few days of steady rain. The ground was still wet enough that water would push out around your feet when standing. I hooked to the tractor, and pulled him up the hill without so much as a spin. (this was in my JT)

I will be going with the MT BB's on the TJ as well because of the experience on the JT.

The JT Willys edition came with Firestone Destination M/T2s. I put a set of take offs on my TJ and I'm impressed with how the tire handles in wet weather. They are so much better than the set of KM2s I ran years ago. The downside, for any M/T, is the noise.

What a coincidence, I just bought an LJ and put a set of 33x1050r15 BFG KM3’s on … lol had no issues getting a set from Discount tire back in July … there were 8 local but dropped to 4 making them need to order a fifth which came in a couple days. I did t get the sense that these were disappearing …

BTW: the KM3 is a great road tire compared to the original Mud Terrain, can’t feel the tread in the steering wheel and the tire noise is not detectable above wind noise, sounds worse around 55 when they howl proudly but wired noise base to caught up yet.

Off road, no idea … I haven’t gotten to take it out yet :-/

Ive ran the toyo mts on heavier trucks amd they work well. I went to yokahama g003 because of the high price of the toyos. Similar tread but better in evey other way. Have them om both my heavy duty trucks. I dont know if they have a 33x10 size though. I run a 295/55/r20 on my trucks.
