hey guys i have a 2000 jeep tj 6 in lift it is all over the road putting new adj control arms on front what should i set my lower arms be set at upper also i get a reading of -6 degree on top of ball joint flat spot should caster be plus or minus

Pinion angle is more important than caster. If your Jeep is all over the road you may want to look into setting the toe. If you have adjustable arms (sounds like you do) you may want to double check that your axles are square to each other.

The top should be leaning back. Whatever you want to call the number the lower part should be towards the front and the upper part towards the back. Negative, positive, I have no clue what's what.

Depends on which way your angle finder is facing 🤷

It would be hard to get caster flipped the wrong way, even with adjustable arms. If the lower ball joint is a little bit in front of the upper ball joint, then you can ignore the +/- on the reading.

6” lift? what control arms do you have? If they are short arms it will drive like shit. At 6” you won’t have much caster left by the time you dial out driveshaft vibes.

You want positive caster. The lower ball joints should be forward of the upper ball joints. Think of the forks on a bicycle. I Agee with the other post getting the pinion angle correct with as much caster as you can get.
