trailered this beauty down for a friend of mine who inherited it from her Grandparents. All original, 1969 Jeepster Commando with 69k original miles that was bought new by her Grandfather. Doesn't look like the top has ever been off. It has been sitting in a garage for the last bunch of years, new battery and started right up. Fun to drive...

Beautiful jeep. I have always liked these . this one is a very nice specimen. Thanks for sharing the photos.

When I was looking for my first vehicle - a Jeep - my Dad and I looked at a '71 Commando. He really wanted me to do it, but I had my heart set on a CJ. Here's that Buick, Odd Fire, Dauntless V6 in the '71 CJ5 I wound up getting. This thing made close to 200 hp. Pull the front wheels off the ground (well, mainly because it had like a 40" wheelbase... :)).

200hp on that small a wheelbase musta been a 2 edged sword, especially as a 1st vehicle and, presuming, a 16y/o!

I said this on the first post of my build thread: It was a death trap - but you don't know that when you are 16.

She’s a lucky lady. Nice looking rig. Hopefully it came loaded with good memories of her and her grandfather in it.
