If I am driving or just sitting my key keeps popping out of the ignition? The key is still required to start or turn off the vehicle. Any ideas please? Thanks

I replaced all my locks... ignition cylinder and my half doors (yeah, yeah) and rear with cylinders from wolfsecurityhardware.com/

Not to hard to swap out. Plenty of YouTube videos.

Happens to me but haven't fixed it yet because it doesn't bother me enough yet lol
Me too, since 2006 and next thing is "key lock button" locks the new key in. I fixed that with small NAPA vinyl sticker used as a "tactile reminder" over lock button and using old slip-n-slide key.

You're a stage past when I replaced the one in my 99. I hopped in and realized the key felt funny in my hand as I started it up. Looked down and I'd just started the TJ with the key for my Silverado. Not only were the keys nowhere near the same cut, the cross section of the key body was so different that the Silverado key won't even slide into a healthy TJ cylinder.

It's easy to rekey them, too. I think I had to borrow maybe 1 or two wafers from the old cylinder to make the new one match, the rest was just changing the order they were in.

Wolf Security, Walt can rekey a new ignition cylinder, of just a photo of your current key. Plus matches the rest of my locks.

Super easy 10 minute install. On my 98 there is a hole in the column bottom cover. Just like a screw driver in there and the key switch slides right out.

Here's a real Ass-Kicker in 93' I worked for Warnock #4 Dealer in country. PLL Leasing wanted a Jeep they were the largest leasing co, in the U.S.
I had to pick up the jeep at a different location. The manager threw me keys told me the red one in front I got in drove back to dealer PLL came and got it. 7 months later PLL called and said the Vin is wrong. Turned out there were two red jeeps in front and the key worked in the wrong car. Warnock had to eat jeep and swap PLL to new jeep at $0.00 and sell the other as a used car at 40% off MRSP. Ouch!
