Hey all. Recently purchased a 97 TJ with a 04? Idk LP Dana 44 with factory locker. Anyways it has a manual hub conversion with warn premium lock outs. Any idea what kit this thing has in it? I would like to get the seals and bearings in order to replace the ball joints and new rotors.

Much appreciated
Thank you

Looks to be a Warn kit due to the gold anodized wheel hubs (not the locking hub itself). They made two versions, a lighter duty in 5x4.5 and a heavier duty in 5x5.5. Takes standard old school dana 44 bearings and seals. Well in the heavy duty kit; not sure about the light duty kit.

At first glance I would guess that is an original Warn hub 5x5.5 hub conversion and stock inner axle shafts.

It is either very early before they did the rear full float hub kit or later Yukon. They used similar hubs front and rear so on the front they have a 3/16" spacer between the CJ rotor that has been turned down on the OD to OEM rotor diameter. Yukon eliminated the spacer and made the flange the lug studs press into thicker to compensate.

In all of the above though as you know, the seals, seal kit, spindle bearing, cups and cones, and spindle nut washer are the same. The only difference in those parts between the 4.5 and 5.5 27 and 30 spline respectively is the internal splined washer and extra wide snap ring for the end of the 27 spline shaft to hold it outward against the slinger seal.

The steering I tracked down. It is OffRoadOnly U-turn. Just sourced the drag link ends and tie rod ends.
Would be great if some one knew.

Thanks
Find a Warn TJ 5.5" hub conversion exploded diagram and it will have the parts list you need. Most of the parts are as stated above, Dana 44 stuff.

Any idea where to start on to find where to get these seals washers and bearings?

I just rebuilt a few of them for my own use. I got the exploded parts list with part numbers and then started hunting them down that way. Lots of places were out of stock of one thing or another so I had to piecemeal it all in and wait on back orders to fill.

I have had no luck besides this but not sure if this is correct. Is the 4.5 and 5.5 parts list the same ? If you scroll down they do a manual swap. Thanks
