I have a 99 Jeep tj 2.5L. Blowed a hole in the side of the block. I can not find one of these engines locally. But a friend has a YJ 2.5L out of a 94. How hard is this to change over to a TJ ? What's the easiest simplest route. Thanks.

Welcome to the forum.

The long blocks are basically the same you just have to swap over all the TJ bolt up components. Usually I sit them side by side and just swap parts from one to the other.

If the fuel pump the same psi?
You will have to swap over manifolds so there is no change to anything. the YJ head may have a threaded unused outlet (temp sensor) in the top of the head in the right rear corner that will require a 1/8 npt pipe plug. The TJ temp sensor uses the outlet in the thermostat housing.
