Trying to install longer bump stops in the rear and the old jounce bumper bolt does not want to come out. It just spins at the top. Any tips on getting it out?
No, it's done all the time. Case in pointView attachment 331121
Is it a dumb idea to drill a hole in the bottom of the spring perch and place the bump stop spacer at the bottom?
I did that for my front ones but had never seen anyone do it with the rear. No, it's done all the time. Case in point

Is there a particular reason for this or is it required? I just drilled a hole and put it in the bottom because nothing else seemed to work for me in the moment. I’m going to cycle the suspension tomorrow to see if any problems arise when at full bumpBump extensions are usually on the bottom in the front and on top in the rear.
Maybe not the reason, but the rear perch base is relatively thin. Tapping it doesn't usually hold up well. The front base is much thicker and holds up well when tapped.I am not sure of the reason for the rears to be on top. That is just the way most do it.
