Having some fitment issues with some full doors I recently purchased. My passenger side works perfectly, opens and closes smooth.

My driver side however would not close until I adjusted the striker. Now it closes and open but it takes just a bit more effort than my passenger. This doesn’t really bother me but, I noticed it’s not sealing on the top end.

At first I thought the door needed adjusted but the gaps are all the same between my passenger and the driver door. Is it possible the upper portion is bent? How do I go about solving it? Thanks for any help!

Here’s my driver side.

Very happy with the look though!

Yes it is possible that the upper is bent. This can happen when doors are stored hanging from the upper frame instead of by the hinge. Not sure if trying to apply pressure on them will help but might be worth a try.

Back in the 80's when the quality of new cars was not what it is today, I often had to adjust the upper parts of the doors on brand new cars to get them to close tighter. Roll down the window, put your knee against the inside of the door and pull the upper in. Go easy. Make small adjustments until you get the fit where you want it.
