What potential issues does a front truss introduce?

Before anyone starts telling me I don't need a truss, this topic isn't about whether or not I need one. The question I have is what negative things does having a front truss introduce (e.g. unnecessary weight, interference issues, etc.)?

Here's the scenario and reason I'm asking. A couple years ago a friend was cleaning out his barn in preparation for a move and gave me some parts for helping move a bunch of stuff. Those parts included the following:

- a functioning front trussed Rubicon 44 with stock gears and shafts.
- a functional extra front locker and pumps
- a NOS set of front and rear Superior axles

I wasn't planning to use these, largely due to the truss and added weight of the Dana 44. However, with parts shortages and costs being the way they are, I'm now thinking about installing them. With minimal cost and work I'll have a functioning front factory locker, with extra parts. This will pair nicely with the Rubicon rear I also have. Whoever installed the truss appears to have done a decent job of welding it in and everything looks to be okay. That said, am I adding more work/grief by installing the front axle with a truss?

Depending on your truss, you may need to notch the truss where the track bar frame mount/joint meets the truss for clearance at full bump.

I trussed my 30 (much to the derision of others.) No clearance issues I couldn't overcome. Barnes made a nice clean kit. Did it as part of a regear and super kit install with Eaton E-lockers.

small truss over the diff isn't much issue but the tube support height should be kept minimal if you ever plan on chasing maximum up travel.

not a fan of anything that comes off the top of the diff and over, Savvy or a similar design is better, rising only about midway against the diff frame.

How about warping the axle tubes from welding?
I pulled the center section when I got it, to inspect everything. Although I didn't notice anything strange, I'll do it again before ordering any parts!
