This was parked outside where we ate tonight. It doesn't say "Jeep" anywhere on the exterior (as far as I can see).
Looks like a suburban to me...

I heard or read something about the Wagoneer being it'd own brand. If that's not really the case maybe I had a dream about it.

What I see in that picture is what looks like the newest Ford Flex which I always thought would be great to own if I wanted to stay on the road and haul my kids around (or maybe some surfboards). I also liked dark red or blue Flexes (is that a word?) with the white tops. I referred to those a Giant Coopers and I've been hoping to see at least one with a giant Union Jack painted up there. (Flex = made in Canada that still honors the queen for some strange reason)

And (for those that haven't noticed) I am displaying my parentheses addiction today.

So gas prices are over $4 a gal and predicted to continue rising, the economy is in the shitter, wages aren’t rising to match inflation and they think people are going to pay that price for an SUV?! They need to fire whomever is making these decisions.

I have a feeling that if things continue down this path, the little economy cars will be making a comeback.

Gas is just about $5/ a gallon here and I bet this car goes for over list around here. I am seeing no shortage of spending BMW, Benz can't keep cars on the lot. The ford dealership had a bronco at full list + a $15000 market adjustment on the window.

Keep in mind that the process from conception to production for an all-new vehicle is measured in years. That model was likely conceived back when gas was under $2 per gallon.

I get that, the question still has to be asked is who would buy that now? I know, I know there are plenty of people with money still out there...I have better things to spend my money on than a $90K suv

Most that buy one probably don't even know what it cost them. They just look at the monthly payment, not the whole financial picture, sadly.

That is the only way car salesmen know how to sell. You should see the look on their face when I am in there saying I don't care about the payment just the price. That and probably 90% will be leased anyway.

I'll be honest its one of the ugliest vehicles I have seen in awhile. Looks like a fat minivan  just missing the sliding door.

I saw 2 Bronco's sitting on a ford lot the other day and both had big stickers on the window $79,900. People have to be out of their mind to pay that for one of them. Our monopoly money isn't going to make it much longer.

I don't get it. Why would you buy that over a tahoe? I wouldn't buy either one but the wagoneer is like 25-30k more than the tahoe.

In my opinion, too many people have been trained to buy everything on a monthly payment.
Car
Phone
Internet
Streaming Service

You add all that shit up and you will see why you are broke. And most of the time you pay WAY more for that monthly payment vs just buying something outright.

Not sure what you're getting at. Queen Elizabeth is the Queen of Canada.

I'd bet that also has at least one strange reason too but I wasn't there to collect the details. If we want to get political on this there is a political section.

Honestly I wanted to see an American flag on the Flex roof but when I found out a few years ago that it's made in Canada I figured that would be wrong. The Union Jack being on the old Mini Coopers was a British thing back in the day and they aren't made in England any more yet that flag is on many newer Minis so I figured putting it on something at least built in Canada would be a step better.
