Savvy strikes again!

I realize how bad shipping is. That's why I can only afford to buy from companies that have free shipping.
It isn't free shipping. You like subsidized shipping. Someone collectively is paying the shipping and it isn't the seller simply eating those costs.

I realize that too. Free "for me" shipping then. I'm sure they still make a profit, or they wouldn't offer it. Every company I deal with does it.

All that means is you like to be told the shipping is free to you when it isn't free to anyone. You still paid for it.

I have been in need of a belly up skid. My stock skid is not the same shape it once was. I was hoping to get the Savvy belly skid but it seems it might a while before they are in stock. I was also going to order some arms and GTS from Savvy but these posts have me worried about it.

I checked my invoice for my savvy body lift in 2020 and it was only $157 shipped to my door. $133 plus $23.59 in shipping from 4lowparts.

Do you think Savvy may be on their way to halting TJ production with all these price swings and material availability issues?

Genright skid really isn't much more now. Is that the next best thing? I just know as soon as I order something Savvy will have some in stock again.
The beauty of the Savvy skid, to me, is these two things:

- The maximum amount of belly clearance, without making significant modifications
- A bolt in cross-member, included with the skid - Genright's requires purchasing a separate cross-member, then welding it

UCF also offers a skid, but you have to use their "Extra Clearance" version and a "lowpro" transmission mount. Or, you'd have to get a universal cross-member, like TMR's or Genright's. By the time you do that, you've spent more money and time than on the Savvy kit. If you can live without the Cross-member, UCF make a decent product. Plus, you can get it in either 1/4" or 3/8". That said, Savvy is the best option!

Yeah I 100% agree and like the Savvy design. I just worry about future availability so I am considering the next available options. I have been waiting for them to come in stock. They are

One thing about the genright/tmr style crossmember is the bushings are at the frame rail while savvy is at the case. I say that because the savvy crossmember would likely support more of the jeeps weight. I think savvy has a 1/4" skid. The genright style would have the weight of the jeep resting on the skid and crossmember bushings in a high center situation. It might not be as big of a deal as I'm making it out to be.

On the Rubicon last year I turtled my LJ on the savvy skid. So much so you could literally spin the jeep on that skid. Mike even said that what I did should be an ad for how well built the savvy skid is. Everything held up fine.

I also wonder which helps reducing engine vibrations more, the center bushings or bushings on the frame rail side. It seems like the real answer is which one provides more rubber to reduce them. All I know is adding the Savvy skid definitely introduces vibration that wasn't there with the stock mount. At least that was the case with the two Savvy skids I've done.

No carrier of parcels in the US does it for free. Not now, not ever. The shipping is built into the cost you paid, period.
X2. Anyone believing they're really getting "free" shipping has to realize that SOMEONE is paying for it and it's not the vendor or manufacturer. They're simply including its cost in the purchase price.

Yes and the price of the item has to reduced by that amount which generally means you are buying an even cheaper piece of shit than you thought you were.

I hope it comes with a complimentary reach-around...
Build me the exact same kit for less money and I'll place an order for 30 of them right now. I need to make a profit equivalent to the industry standard of 30% as a reseller but I'll cut you a break and take them for 125. That is packaged, ship ready packaging, 6061 T6 aluminum skirted pucks with a 1.25" lift height, and the appropriate fasteners with flange head or suitable washers. Grade 5 is acceptable. Don't forget that rear pair on the gas tank crossmember set the length of the other 7/16" bolts so we don't dimple the tub. Black anodizing please. OD of puck can be mill finish to save on machine time.

As far as the aluminum skid. In Saavy’s defense. I sell aluminum clad windows in the residential housing market. Andersen Eagle series is 53 week lead time because of aluminum problems. So if they normally sent stuff regular like that. Don’t hold your breath. I’m not.

Fancy buisness talk. 😂 Let’s have some more. I am a business man myself.

Savvy really sucks. They sent me a cardboard box full of Jeep parts that they're telling me I need to install myself!

The pictures on their website clearly show the product assembled and mounted on a Jeep:

This is what they sent me:

I can't believe they'd do this to me!
