Replaced the distributor, I think the bearing inside it went. Had a nice periodic clicking (posted in a “what’s this noise thread). Replaced it with a duralast gold distributor, hopefully I don’t regret that. I expected to do the muscle car thing and replace it with an MSD or something, but it doesn’t appear there is a lot in the way of aftermarket distributor “upgrades.”

I also didn’t bother with the finding TDC method, I just marked the current position, yanked it, set the new one in the same position and dropped it in.

But yeah, the bearing was definitely the problem.

Disassembled and greased the Johnny Joints on my Savvy lower control arms. I installed them June 15 last year and greased them then.

Some grease is getting in through the zerks but not enough. They were dry and starting to creak. Overall I am good with having to do annual maintenance.

Well I blew it up ! The plastic tank on the radiator that is.

Time for a complete cooling system overhaul.

I've yet to see anything last longer than a oem Mopar radiator. Mine is approaching the 20 year mark. X
p.s. The X is to ward off the Jinx. I bragged about my 21 year old XJ radiator and it started leaking a week later.

Drove Sport to work today!!!! Got ready to leave work, got a call from my wife telling me it was storming. I told her "hey a wet Jeep ride home, is better than a good day at work!!!!!!!

It was storming around Chattanooga, I had the windows out of the Trektop and the 1/2 doors on. Really didn't get that wet!!!!

My used OEM side steps came in today, gotta pick up some bolts (I believe they’re M8-1.25x25 bolts but correct me if I’m wrong, I’ve got an 02 TJ with the
2 nutserts and 2 slots per arm).
Also going to paint the arms. Thinking flat black would probably be closest to factory… ? Let me know if you have any other paint recommendations for the arms, was also considering rattle-can bedliner.
